Third person POV:
Sabito and Giyuu had been on not great terms for a couple of days, after they had a fight about how reckless Giyuu had been in their last battle, throwing himself over Sabito like a shield.
They had fought for hours before Giyuu ran out of their shared house in tears, and Sabito hadn't been able to get a hold of him in days.
He was worried. Worried that something might have happened to him, or even worse if he had hurt himself because of what Sabito had said.
**flashback to the fight**
"It's not my fault you couldn't stand! Why can't you understand I was just trying to protect you?!" Giyuu shouted. Tears were streaming down his face. He had never gotten into an argument this big with Sabito ever.
"Because it was reckless! What if you had gotten hurt? Or killed even? What then would you be able to protect me from if you died?!" Sabito's face was almost scary, but inside he felt his heart shatter from having to yell at the person he loved.
"I'm prepared to die for you if it means you would live another day! It already happened, why do you care so much about me living anyways?! It's not like you ever said anything like that before I almost died!" Giyuu clutched at his heart, feeling a throb, but not of pain.
"You shouldn't throw you life away! If Urokodaki sensei has taught us anything its that if someone is gonna die, you mustn't ruin your own life for their safety! You're an imbecile, you've always been so goddamn sensitive! I'd rather die than have you sacrifice yourself for me!" Sabito yelled. Giyuu sobbed and shook his head.
"No! No no no! You're the idiot! Why can't you understand it?!"
Sabito was at his wits end. "Understand what? What is there to understand about someone as stupid as you?"
Giyuu cried harder and he turned around one last time before leaving. "I shielded you because I love you, you fucking fool!"
He ran out of the house, slamming the door behind him. Sabito sprinted to the door, opening it wide, but only saw a blur of Giyuu's sweatshirt disappear into the rain.
He shut the door and slid down onto the floor, holding his head in his hands. He choked in his throat, trying to keep himself from crying.
"No Giyuu. You're right. I am a fool. A fool in love with an idiot." Sabito sobbed silently into his chest, holding his arms around himself. He sat there for hours.
**end of flashbacks**
Sabito rubbed his eyes. He had barely slept after their fight, and he knew the way Giyuu was that he would have slept even less. Sabito sighed and stood up from his bed, looking out the window.
Oh, it's still dark out. He picked up his phone and turned it on, reading that it was 3:46 in the morning.
He groaned and plopped on his bed. It's useless trying to go back to sleep. I know I won't.
He got up and walked out of his bedroom and to the kitchen, reaching up to the cupboard to grab a box of cereal when he heard knocking on his door. Then he heard a thump and accidentally slammed the cupboard shut. He jumped at both of the noises then took a deep breath.
He cautiously set the box back down, and grabbed a knife from beside the sink. He walked to the door, and precariously looked into the peephole to see a disheveled looking Giyuu, or what he recognized to be Giyuu's hair and sweatshirt. He couldn't see his face, as he was standing too close to the door.
Sabito sighed relieved that it wasn't some creep trying to get into his house.
He unlocked the door, opening it slowly.
"Listen Giyuu, I'm so sorry. Please let me expla-" Before he could finish, Giyuu's body crashed against his own, making him stumble back, catching himself in the last second. "Giyuu?"
He slid to the floor, holding onto Giyuu and looked at him, tilting his head upwards towards so he could see his face.
"Oh no..."
Giyuu was unconscious, and blood oozed down his face.
End
I'll make a part two I swear.
