"It's over." The tall peach haired man began walking towards the front door. He didn't look back at the trembling man behind him, though he wanted to badly."W-Wait!" Giyuu's voice hitched in his throat as another sob racked his body. "I-I don't wa-want you to g-go!" He couldn't breathe and he started to wince.
"I c-can't do thi-this without y-you! Please Sa-Sabito.." Giyuu's chest heaved and he choked, coughing as he doubled over. His eyes were wide and scared, tears pouring out of them at rapid speed.
How long has it been?
How long had it been since we started fighting?
Giyuu tried to look out the window but only saw black. Stars etched themselves into the dreary night. It was raining. Thunder boomed through the sky, seconds after lightning had streaked over it. Giyuu was terrified of storms; the loud sounds reminded him of times he didn't want to remember.
Giyuu jumped at the noise and sobbed again, pulling his knees towards his chest in fear.
Hours...
"Giyuu?" Sabito let out a sharp exhale and the sound of clicking made the black haired male sit up abruptly. "I know what you're trying to do. I-it's not going to work this time. You're just trying to make me feel bad so I won't go b-but this is it." Sabito opened the door but then shut it, waiting for Giyuu to drop the act.
But he didn't.
When Giyuu didn't answer, Sabito finally looked back. The sight in front of him was pitiful. Giyuu was halved on the floor, gasping for air.
Sabito bent down. "Stop it. I caught you and there's no reason to strain your lungs anymore prete-"
Giyuu inhaled harshly and let go of the air just as fast, crashing even more onto the ground. If it wasn't for the fact that he couldn't breathe enough to make much noise, his sobs would probably be taking up all the space in the small apartment.
"P-Ple- Please-!" Giyuu looked up imploringly at the one person he truly loved, who's glare was turning into a stare of worry.
"Are you... really reacting like this?" Sabito took a shaky breath and lowered himself onto Giyuu's level to look into his eyes. "Please tell me you're not lying. I don't think I could t-take that right now."
Giyuu sobbed loudly for one of the first times that night and fell into Sabito's arms. Sabito- surprised- tried to push him off, but seeing how easy it was made him scared.
Why is he not forcing himself on me?
"I ca-can't m-move." It was true. Giyuu laid as a sad mess on the ground, and Sabito silently scooped him up back into his embrace. Sabito started to silently cry. This is why.
Whenever I think he hates me, I get reminded during times like these.
Giyuu clutched as best he could to Sabito's loose shirt as the taller man rubbed his back soothingly. They rocked back and forth quietly, the painful cries turning into muffled sniffs.
"I'm- im sorry Giyuu. I won't leave."
Giyuu muttered a brief 'n-no-' before going limp in Sabito's arms. He was reminded just how much crying took out of Giyuu, and Sabito stood up, taking the shorter man with him. He laid him down on the bed, Giyuu's body still shaking even when he was unconscious.
Sabito wanted to just leave- it wouldn't be a fun experience talking once Giyuu woke up- but he knew he didn't have it in him to just go and not even say goodbye.
He lowered himself onto the bed, sighing and pulling the covers over the both of them. He stared at the ceiling, letting tears silently spill across his cheeks.
I'm reminded that he might actually care about me.
