Percy POV:
We returned to Hogwarts a week after we got engaged. When we told the camp, Dioynisous choked on his grapes, all of Aphrodite's cabin started squealing, and everyone else was just grinning like they knew this was going to happen.
We got to the Great Hall just in time to catch up with the Golden Trio. I was still smiling like a madman, delighted at the fact that me and Annabeth would be spending the rest of our lives together.
"Well, aren't you two lovebirds looking happy," Hermione said. I blushed and stuck out my tongue. At this, Hermione seemed to notice the ring on Annabeth's finger. Her jaw dropped.
"Did you-?"
"Yup!" I said.
Hermione started fanning her face as Hazel would.
"Hey, Jackson!" Draco, Luna, and Snape were headed my way. Snape raised an eyebrow at Hermione.
"Miss Granger may I ask the reason for your..." He waved a vague hand indicating Hermione's fangirling. She pointed at Annabeth's finger.
Snape's eyes went from their normal stone-cold to a teasing excitedness. Luna muffled a squeal, and Draco's jaw dropped about 10 feet. Suddenly, there was a flurry of owls coming in and Zoe flew up to me with an odd-looking envelope.
"Bloody Hell mate that's a howler," Ron said.
"A what?"
"A howler. Go ahead, open it. It'll be worse if you don't."
Harry looked like he was trying to hold back a laugh.
I opened the letter. The booming voice of Leo Valdez came through.
"Hey Perce! How are things going at your voodoo magic school? Heard you had a break down. You doing good I hope. Anyways, Festus and Callie say hi. I heard these wizards have talking letters so I sent you one. And uh, (Muffled screaming), gotta go! bye!" The howler ripped itself to shreds and landed in my steak. The entire hall was silent. Snape was trying to hold back a laugh so hard he looked constipated. Luna and Draco were full on clutching sides with tears coming out of their eyes laughing. I stood up.
"LEONIDAS VULCAN VALDEZ, I SWEAR I'M GOING TO GO BACK TO AMERICA AND MURDER YOU!" I ran out of the hall to Iris message Leo.
