Jannat POV
When I wake up at 5, Ishika is already awake before me.
"Morning" comes her voice.
"You're early. That's a start" I say approvingly.
"Couldn't sleep"
I jump out of bed and take a minute to freshen up. Maybe. Just maybe, this might not be that bad.
I walk out of the room and she follows and we head towards the weapons room down the corridor.
"Make your choice." I say harshly opening a case full of a variety of weapons.
This somewhat reminds me of that stupid story I once read- 'the necklace' where the rich friend said "choose my dear". I also somewhat specifically remember that that was the beginning of all the problems.
Anyhow, she walks through the weapons, shivering a bit.
"I dunno." She just looks at me.
"I can't help you if I don't know what you can do"
"I can't do anything" that's honest.
My phone buzzes and I realize that today's the day that Vengeance is gonna tell me about my mission.
"I'll come back after a while" I say, "and when I do, I want an answer. Till then, you will figure out what your weapon is."
She nods.

I walk down the corridor and into the room where I find Maria already sitting on the couch.
"Your mission" says Vengeance, "involves a fairly reputed college"
Maria scoffs and murmurs under her breath, "I hate colleges"
I mentally roll my eyes at that unnecessary comment.
"You will need to find me an old friend of mine, name's Madra Saradae. And he is very special to me"
"Why us?" Comes Maria's complaining voice. This girl seriously doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut!
"Because, I want you to handle him with utmost care. He is not to be underestimated."
This fellow is definitely more than just a street urchin, judging from the importance that he's getting.
"What does he look like?"
"Here's all your clues" He says, "You start at the earliest. After-all, I don't think the four of you want to miss your morning lectures"
"The four of us?" Maria says.
"Blade, you, the useless boy that I'm forced to call my son, and the new girl."
"That girl can't aim a butter-knife. And that boy doesn't look like he can tie his shoelace!" Maria has a point on this one.
"You're dismissed Ms. Esposito." She just gets up stubbornly and leaves.
That leaves me with Vengeance.
"Blade. The new girl can't fight"
"I've noticed"
"But her brain is beyond useful."
And with that he dismisses me.
When he said her brain was useful, I'm sure he wasn't referring to organ donation.
I walk back into the weapons room only to find Abhishek handing Ishika a glass of water, which upon noticing, she just drops.
"I have news," I say to Abhishek, "We're going to college."
