Today would mark the third day in a row you would eat at this diner. Although your order changed nothing around you accommodated that. You sat in the same spot, saw the same decorations, and smiled at the same staff. Of course, you didn't mind the repetitiveness. Normalcy was what your life lacked. It was the simple things you needed. Small things like eating at the same place kept you grounded. If you let yourself get too caught up in the events in your life you feared you might lose yourself. It was best to have a routine.
The routine was going fine until a man took the stool next to you. You let yourself take a glance, admiring his unusual attractiveness. In this small part of town he was bound to stick out with such looks. His height, toned body, and alluring features were all a sight for sore eyes. It made your mind wander.
"I hope you don't mind if I sit here, I can see the T.V. better." He spoke up.
"No, I don't mind at all. I don't like sitting alone anyways." You confessed.
"Honestly, me neither. I've never liked being alone." You smiled at him.
"I always enjoy company. I'm not good with talking to others but I like the thought of it."
"You're taking with me just fine."
"Maybe you're just easy to talk to."
You were glad this man had upset your routine. The things you told him were true. Company was what you wanted and the companionship he was giving you was a fresh of breathe air. You liked the voice of others. You loved to see them smile. It took your mind off his vulgar language. It took your mind off his sadistic grin.
"Thank you. I like hearing that, especially from someone like you." He said.
"Someone like me? What's that supposed to mean?"
"You seem put-together. Very out of my league and very beautiful." You giggled.
"I am now? Well, thank you." Something inside you twinged. The affection of another man was what your body wanted. A safe, warm love. But, you weren't about to give it what it desired.
"Just saying what I'm thinking." After his statement a waitress came out holding a bag of takeout which was placed in front of him.
"Here's your order, Toji. Thank you and please come again!" She said.
"Toji? Is that your name?" You asked when she walked off.
"Yes, and it sounds amazing in your mouth." Warmth was felt on your skin.
"Well, I'll see you around." It looked like he was about to say something but stopped.
"See you around." Was all he ended up replying with.
Ringing of bells was heard when Toji walked out. Something in you stung. It had been so long since someone talked to you like that. Only certain places you were allowed to go without him, places he thought no one would be to take you from him. But, he seemed to be wrong. Although Toji did not take you. As much as you wanted that man to, he would not take you away from your current life. No one would. Hope had no existence in a girl like you.
Much later that night, you were back on your routine. Your least favorite part of it. The man who seemed to dictate your life and every move called you every time he needed his desires met. Each moment at his place was hell. But, he had got you addicted. You were hooked on the gifts, apartment, and services his money could buy. Being alone without his aid was too scary to go back to. So you let him do what he want with you. His doll is what you'd become.
"Sukuna..." You groaned. Your head was dizzy from the drugs and over sensory as he shoved your face again into the plate of cocaine. The white substance stung at your nose and you blinked back tears. The grip on your hair hurt, the knee shoved in between your legs embarrassingly good. You hated this. But you needed it. What would a life without luxury be like?
"Sukuna..." You said again when he lolled your head back on his chest.
"Already so wet for me, isn't that right?" His fingers dipped into your panties and began to explore what was inside. It was silent for a moment before a sharp slap was given to you. "Answer when you're spoken to."
"Yes." You managed to say.
His hand gripped at your throat while the other rubbed circles on your clit. You weren't in the mood but you couldn't say no. Who knows what he'd do? Last time he did it to you all night. All night...
"Ah!" You cried when his hand squeezed at your neck.
For a while, you relaxed. It wasn't unusual for him to do this. Then, you really couldn't breathe. Tears stung at you eyes, your lungs began to hurt while your body shook to get free. Nails scratched at his arm yet his grip did not loosen. In fact, he seemed to choke you harder.
"Can't brea-." He pushed you onto the floor before you could finish your sentence. It felt as though is hands were still on your neck as you gasped for air.
"You're pathetic." He stated. "Can't even take a little choking. But," he stroked at your pussy, "you're still soaking for me."
"Stop!" You yelled, trying to get far from him.
"Hm? What was that?" He towered over your body, "Stop? You can't tell me to do anything. Learn your fucking place, slut."
That was when he snapped. In a flash, his hands were all over you. It was a mix of violations, punches, and kicks. Your head hurt too much to keep up with his movements and you knew you weren't strong enough to defend yourself so you lay and took it. You took it like the doll you were. Blood trickled in multiple places, the substance feeling foreign even though you had felt it so many times before. He wasn't holding back much, either. Bruises started to appear on your skin, darkened spots taunted you. Everything hurt. Everything spun.
Before you knew it he had stopped. He had thrown you out. The place you were now was familiar but you wouldn't be able to say where exactly you were. It was dark. Cold. The rain against your wounds stung. But then you heard him. His voice. Familiar, also, the deep tones of his words.
"Hey! What the fuck, are you ok? What happened?" Answering was too difficult so you leaned into his body. His warmth was comforting.
"I'm taking you to a hospital." He stated. Your feet no longer touched the ground but instead swung outward as you lay in his arms. Was this what flying felt like?
"Toji..." Blood trickled down your chin when you said his name.
"Shh, don't speak, alright? I don't want you getting worse." He said. Your eyelids felt heavy again. You couldn't help but want to close them.
"Toji, I don't need the hospital." You said.
"Please don't speak." He wiped the blood from your chin, "don't hurt yourself. We're going to a hospital."
"No hospital." The worry was creeping in. If he saw you with another man you'd both be dead. That couldn't happen.
"I'm not leaving you like this."
     "Rest is all I need."
"Can you really not go to a hospital?" He asked.
"No hospital. Just bruises and blood." You couldn't hear what he said next as you had fallen asleep.
"Megumi! Get me a towel and rubbing alcohol!" Toji commanded when he finally got home.
"Dad? Who's that?" The 5 year old did not understand why there was a girl bleeding in his arms. The girls his father brought home were always conscious and giggling.
"Megumi, now!" The girl was set down on the sofa while the boy raced for the bathroom. Soon, he returned with what was asked of him.
"Thank you." Toji hastily said as he dabbed at your wounds. "Could you get me some bandaids too?"
"I grabbed those." The boy said and pulled some out of his pockets. "Dad, who is she and what's wrong with her?"
"She's just a friend. I found her like this so I don't exactly know what's going on." He confessed.
"Oh. Is she going to be ok?" Toji smiled at Megumi.
"Of course. Why don't you head off to bed it's getting late."
     "I'm not tired."
"Megumi, please. Not right now." The father said.
"But, I wanna make sure she's ok." Megumi pleaded.
"I'll let you know when she's up. Maybe you can make yourself and her some hot chocolate. Does that sound good?" Toji compromised.
     "Ok. Goodnight, Dad."
"Goodnight, Megumi." A kiss was planted on the child's forehead.
When Megumi had gone to bed Toji looked down at you once more. What had you gotten yourself into? He didn't want to assume things but he was sure someone had done this to you and most likely a partner. You had no ring so at least there was no attachment. But, he could already feel there was no talking you out. He just hoped he would help you realize that you needed to leave. Health was to be your number one concern. Not whatever you were putting before it.
He sighed softly. You really were gorgeous. Even asleep your beauty was not dulled. Toji just wished you had not met again like this. He swore the next time he saw you would result in him asking you out to dinner but it seemed that plan was far over. For now, all he needed was for you to stay safe. No more suffering, no more pain, no more cuts. Just stay safe. Smile, also. Happy and healthy was all he wanted for you and he knew he would do anything to achieve that. You set aflame something he had not felt in a while. True happiness with another being besides Megumi. Everything about you made him smile. He just hoped he could make you smile, too.
