Waking up in a warm embrace from Toji you knew. You had already known, it was just now you were admitting it. You couldn't go back. You couldn't be the good pet to return to Sukuna's whistle. Feeling like this all the time was the only thing you craved. Comfort. Loved. Needed. In such a short time Toji was able to give you all these feelings. And what could Sukuna give you? Dirty money, addiction, and bruises all over your body It was easy to make the right choice in the arms of the man you adored. It would make both you and him happy.
"You already up, baby?" A deep morning voice was heard from Toji.
"Yeah, I just woke up." Toji kissed the top of your head and pulled you closer.
"You hungry?" He asked. It was already 2 in the afternoon but breakfast had filled you up.
"Not really." You responded.
"Mm, ok. Let me know if you need anything."
"Toji..." You started.
"Hm?"
"I want to leave him."
The room went silent for a moment. You wished you could face the other way to see his reaction but Toji's arms were tight around your waist. Was he happy? He had to be. That wasn't much of a question. What you really wondered was whether or not he was also happy for the chance at being with you. Did he want you just as you wanted him? Or was Toji really just using you like the rest?
"You promise me you'll leave him?" He asked.
"I promise. I don't want to have anything to do with him." You said.
"Baby..." He turned your face up to where you two locked eyes. "I want that more than anything in the world. It's a matter of your safety and health and I want nothing to jeopardize that. Ending whatever you had with him is the best decision for you."
You smiled. You smiled in a way you hadn't smiled in a while. Someone cared. Someone cared for you. They cared for your well-being more than you seemed to care for it yourself. The feeling was amazing. It made you want to be better for their sake. It made you love yourself more. Being this important to someone gave you a high like no other.
"Toji..." A small pool of tears dabbed at the corners of your eyes.
His lips pushed themselves softly into yours and began a slow makeout. The way he kissed you made you feel like the only person in the world. It was more than just the closeness it shared, it was the intimacy of his heart and soul. It felt he poured it out to you. You wanted to give it back to. At this point you were already ready to be shattered by this man. But, something in you knew he wouldn't. He would keep you safe. Like he said. he cared. It made you care, too.
"You're gorgeous." He spoke after pulling away.
His lips moved from yours to your neck where he began gentle licks and kisses. He already knew how to set you off. His focus on your most sensitive spot caused you to arch into him and tug at his hair and non-existent shirt. Toji's large hands gripped at your own hair and back to keep you steady. It made you embarrassingly happy and turned on at what this man was doing to you. It was all love, and it felt so good.
"Baby," his voice vibrated on your neck, "as much as I would love to sit here with you all day I gotta get going."
"Oh." He planted a kiss on your lips.
"Don't look so down. You can wait here while I go pick up Megumi from school." You were unexpectedly happy at this statement. He wanted you to stay and he wasn't leaving you because he was bored.
"I can go with you if you want." You offered. Toji smiled.
"Yeah, I think Megumi would like that if you don't mind."
"F/N!" Megumi called when he saw you in the front seat of Toji's car.
"Hey, Megumi, how was school?" You smiled at the young boy as he climbed in the backseat.
"It was good. What are you doing here? Are you feeling better? Why didn't you say bye last time?" He questioned.
"Try not to bombard her right off the bat." Toji said from beside you.
"Sorry. But, really, what are you doing here?"
"I just came to visit. Sorry I didn't get to say bye last time, I was in a little bit of a rush." You answered.
"Are you feeling better?" Megumi asked.
"Yep! All better!"
"Why don't we get ice cream to celebrate?" Toji suggested.
An excited hooray was heard from the backseat. You could get used to this life. Lazy mornings with Toji, picking Megumi up from school, going out all together. These little things made you unbelievably happy. It was a happiness that you never wanted to let go of. You couldn't even grasp if it was real or not. A part of you was scared you were gonna wake up to find yourself in a life before meeting Toji.
So far, you hadn't woken up. This seemed to be the realest thing to be happening. Toji, Megumi, and you all sitting on a park bench while eating ice cream cones and watching the sun over the blue lake. Joy swirled in you like the treat on your small cake cone. Happy was all you felt. Life's worries were not here with you. This new found peace was something you never wanted to let go of. Obtaining it was your biggest accomplishment and brought you a sense of pride. You could find happiness. You didn't have to rely on things like drugs, money, and other destroying highs to keep you satisfied. The company of these two was all you needed right now.
"This is so beautiful." You said after a while.
"Yeah I love the park, too!" Megumi chimed in. "We should do this more often. F/N, will you come hangout more?"
"Of course." You reassured. Toji gave you a soft smile.
The three of you turned back to the scenery in front of you. It really was gorgeous. Everything about this moment was so awe-inducing. The setting, the mood, the people. How could you not fall in love with this lifestyle? Perhaps you were more of a basic person than you thought. The wealth you were given wasn't even in the same league as the joy you experienced now. You just hoped it would all workout.♡𝚃𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔𝚜 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐♡
