Ben 10

Chapter 3

At a campsite several miles away, a large orange drone was firing at the innocent people as they manically fled. If it was a living creature and not a drone, it would be manically laughing.

It blasted multiple motor homes as it's massive claw like feet, made large indentations on the ground.

Ben, Jen and thier Grandpa ran onto the campsite, quickly coming to a stop as they saw the size of the drone. "Okay, it's the dad this time." Ben gulped.

"So, who are you going to be, Einstein?" Jen joked as her brother activated the watch and he turned the dial, before he slammed on the watch and was engulfed in a green flash.

Within that flash, Ben's body became teal coloured and diamond like. The teen closed his eyes as the diamond hard skin came towards his face. When he opened his eyes, they were yellow.

"Okay, Diamondhead?" Jen said, quickly coming up with a name. "What does this one do?"

Diamondhead looked at his hand as it morphed into a sharp diamond blade. "I don't know, but I think it's going to be cool." He told them.

As the humongous drone picked up the Forrest ranger and looked at him, a voice called out to the drone.

"HEY UGLY!" The drone looked to its left and saw a diamond being. It scanned it's body and zoomed onto to Omnitrix symbol on its left peck. "LOOKING FOR SOMEONE!"

The drone, dropped the ranger onto a tent as it made its way to Diamondhead and opened fire. Jen - who had been helping people escape, watched in horror as the drone fired at her brother. She was surprised that when the smoke had cleared, where her brother stood was a giant shard of diamond.

The drone opened fire on the shield and it's blast were sent all over the place. Jen had to produce an energy field in front of her and was knocked back as her shield shattered. She didn't see a blast hit a tree she was in front off. Quickly standing up she held her head as it felt like her brain was pounding.

When she heard a crunch, she looked over her shoulder and saw that the tree was falling down. Due to the adrenaline, she found herself unable to move, when suddenly, the tree split in half as Diamondhead stood there. A chunk of his diamond skin, going back into his body.

"Even?" He questioned looking at his sister.

"Even!" She replied. Diamondhead got her running to thier Grandpa when the drone picked him up in it's hand, and increased its grip on the creature.

Jen and Max watched as the drone squashed Diamondhead in its hand. Max held his Granddaughter close to him, as she started to cry at the loss of her twin. The people around them, looked in awe at the fight and wondered what else would happen.

The drone opened its hand, expecting to see the crushed body of Diamondhead. Instead, it saw a gaping hole. Suddenly diamonds shot out of the hole and started to spread down its arm and all over its body as it exploded and came crashing down.

From the wreckage, Diamondhead stood on the destroyed drones head with his arms crossed with a small smile at his victory. He looked around the crowd of people and saw his Grandfather and sister, signalling him to head towards home. His yellow eyes went wide for a second.

"Uhh, I think my work is done." Diamondhead said as he ran off. The people all watched as the unknown creature disappeared. Also not seeing two people disappear.

"Who was that guy?" One man asked.

Several minutes later, Ben - back looking normal - had arrived back home and using the spare key under the doormat, he unlocked the door. After he put the key back, he walked in and slowly closed the door and tip-toed into the kitchen for a quick snack.
