“where's the pearl?”

jaehyun can finally conclude, he's now confident to say that he's not being fooled by his imagination, what he saw was true. glaring up at him is the same guy he saw back at the ocean - the same exact features of the creature that tried to kill him by dragging him down the deep waters. to say jaehyun was taken-aback is nothing compared to what he's feeling right now. he's feeling too many at a time; confused, shocked, scared - terrified even but at the same time he's.. starstruck? he questions how can one be this good-looking? thick, furrowed brows, sharp and piercing eyes, tall nose and naturally cherry-colored lipsㅡ just wow. minus the fact that the guy looks like he's near to snapping jaehyun's neck - he's overall a gorgeous guy.

“um the..what?”

jaehyun regrets asking that question the moment it slips from his mouth because the guy became more pissed. “the pearl, you jerk. where the fuck is it?”

the pearl.. where isㅡ oh fuck. fuck. fuck. jaehyun gulps the lump on his throat, feeling the palm of his hands starting to sweat as he thinks of an answer, “oh umm.. that.. thing.”

“yes. that thing you stole from me!” the guy seethes, anger and impatience painted all over his face and dripping off from his voice.

to see is to believe as what they say. everything from the myth is true, from the pearl down the deepest part of the ocean and the creature that guards it. jaehyun could take a wild guess and be correct, the guy infront of him is the one who dragged him down the ocean a couple of nights ago. he's the guardian of the pearl.

“give it back or i'll take your life.” the smaller male states, tightening the hold around his neck even more, almost lifting him off the ground.

normally at situations like this, jaehyun wouldve laugh it off seeing that the guy is much smaller in height than him. but he knows better not to mess with someone who isnt the same being as him.

“okay! i'll give it back! just stop - ugh.” jaehyun's sentence comes off almost incoherently due to the lack of air in his lungs as he tries to remove the guy's hands off his throat.

when the hand was removed, jaehyun gasped for air so deeply, even crouching down and coughing a bit. wow, its really a bad idea to mess with a sea creature.

“where is it?”

“cant you wait? why are you so impatieㅡ” jaehyun stops talking when he saw how the guy's expression turned to an irritated one once again, “yeah of course, i'll.. i'll give it back.” he then forced a smile, standing up again as he massages the side of his throat and nape.

walking around the university, jaehyun never felt this awkward and nervous even when he was still new hereㅡ just feeling so now that he walks with a creature from the sea that's maintaining a blank face and sharp eyes.

“do you really need to accompany me in getting the pearl back? how about you just wait here and iㅡ okay. im gonna shut up.” jaehyun blinks in nervousness, deciding not to talk anymore since the guy sent him a glare.
