Alt. Batman: Superman's accomplices have been rounded up, or they've turned themselves in. The next job is restoring civil order
Superman: The transitional government has it's hands full. We're here if they need help
Batman: Thanks, but no. The people need to know they're in charge. Not us
Echo: I agree. But we'll always be willing to help out

Alt. Batman: I respect the president's offer. But I don't belong in government. None of us do

Alt. Batman: Crime and corruption will return eventually. Ollie would have called me a pessimist. I'm just being realistic

Alt. Batman: He'll stand trial. They all will. Voluntarily or by force

Superman: If I were put in the same position, I might have done the same thing. We never really know what we're truly capable of
