                       The Captain's Daughter

       The year is 1946 It has been a year since I lost my father and my uncle, but my mother believes they are both still alive. Oh! Pardon my manners! I never properly introduced myself! My name is Samantha Rogers, but I go by Sammy. My father is Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America and my mother is none other than Peggy Carter. They met one another five years ago when my father had joined the army.

       My parents never got properly married due to my father's disappearance. My mother was completely flattered by my father after he had gotten the Super Soldier serum. Now do not get me wrong she did like him before the serum, the serum was just a plus. But maybe she was a bit too flattered because I was welcomed into the world nine months later. I was kept a secret and I'm protected by SHIELD. Since my father's disappearance Howard Stark has become like another father to me and takes great care of my mother and me. My mother and Howard have been working hard on an experiment through SHIELD. It is to be able to put a human on ice and basically freeze time. Once the human reawakens, they would not have aged a single day. Peggy had told Howard that once they know it will succeed that her and I will be going under the ice. She is hoping that is what happened to my father and that we will see him again when we awaken. I truly hope that is the case because I really miss my father.

      Now you are probably thinking how can a five-year-old understand all of this? Well, I have two of the greatest parents and I'm around Howard Stark 24/7. Having them in my life makes me able to understand things that a normal five-year-old would not. At this point I am basically a young female Howard Stark. I think my mother is a little worried about that. I truly hope that Mr. Stark has a kid of his own someday. He would make a great father. Howard says that we have one week until we go under the ice. I am pretty scared honestly, but hope that I may get to see my father again eased my thoughts. Howard promised my mother and I that we would be under the ice for 70 years. Once we wake up, we will not have aged a single day. Howard also told us that our capsules will be hidden, and a message will be left behind for another agent to wake us. It is sad that this is the last that my mother and I will see Mr. Stark.

A week has passed, and it is time. We say our goodbyes and I give my mother a big hug since her and I will be in separate capsules. Howard gives my mom and I a huge hug and a kiss on our foreheads. Mother and I stepped into our capsules. Stark closes the doors and the cold overwhelms me, I feel a single tear fall down my cheek and then it freezes. I close my eyes and fall asleep.

2014:

My eyes had opened, and it was cold. I was slightly confused because it felt like I had just stepped into the capsule. I stepped out of the capsule, my mother was already out and was looking around. The SHIELD base had been destroyed. My mother found a bomb that had not gone off that said HYDRA on the side of it. They must have found out about the capsules somehow and wanted to destroy them. Thankfully, all that happened was that the system failed. My mother looked at me with shock and confusion, which I understood as well because it felt like we just stepped into the capsules. And now we were out. She struggled to speak but she stuttered the words.

Peggy: My darling girl, you aged!
