Chapter 3: The Conference

(Day after Volume 4, Chapter 16, Krystal's POV)

I was on the balcony in front of Ghira's office. Sun had just woken up and Blake was chatting with him inside.

"Hey, are you okay?" Someone asks me on my left. It was Ghira, accompanied by Kali.

"Yes. How about you?" I asked him. He sighed.

"We can say news aren't really good." He responded to me. "Not at all, even." He added.

"I guess." I answered him.

"Blake is inside?" Kali asks me.

"Yeah, she's talking to Sun." I answered her. Kali walked over to the door and put her ear to it to listen to the conversation.

"You shouldn't do this, the door has already fallen." I advised her. The door fell, and so did Kali. Sun and Blake looked at us, surprised. Kali got up, embarrassed.

"Oh! Oh dear,would you look at that, he's awake! Thank goodness!" She said, trying to pretend she wasn't doing anything. Ghira put the palm of his hand against his face.

"Kali, please." He sighed

"Mom !" Blake complained.

"Hey, Mrs B.!" Sun greeted her. Blake got up and walked over to us.

"What are you doing ?" Blake asked her mother.

"Well sweetheart your father needed to speak to the three of you." She answered her.

"Huh?" Blake asked.

"It's about yesterday." Ghira told her. Blake stepped aside and let her parents in. I entered in my turn before Mr. Belladonna put the door in place.

"Take a seat, Miss Shin." Ghira invited me. I sat down next to Blake, to her left. Kali, sat down on the armchair next to it.

"So ?" Sun asked them. Ghira took out Ilia's Scroll and put it on the table.

"I'm afraid you were right to be suspicious." He told us.

"What do you mean ?" Blake asked him

"Adam Taurus is planning to overthrow the leader of the White Fang and stage a full-scale attack on Haven Academy. It would be the Fall of Beacon all over again." He told us.

"And Night is over there. If he knows about the attack, he must probably already be planning a plan to prevent it from happening. But if he doesn't know about the White Fang, then he will fail like at Beacon." I said.

"Not if we destroy the White Fang once and for all." Sun told me, determined.

"No." Blake told us before getting up. "We're not going to destroy the White Fang. We're going to take it back." She told us with all the determination in the world.

(Two days later)

All Kuo Kuana was gathered in front of the house. Ghira held a press conference to try to encourage the island to come to help Haven Academy. Ghira was pacing up and down in front of the entrance with her text in hand, and we were all waiting. Ghira stopped and sighed. Kali walked over to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

"Are you ready ?" She asks him.

"Yes." He answered her. "It won't be easy for the people to hear, but the truth often isn't. I know they'll do the right thing." He answered her. Blake walked over to his father and gave him a hug. Sun walks over and gives him a friendly pat on the back. Ghira looked at him.

"You got this" Sun told him. Ghira approached the doors and opened them. There were a lot of people in front of the house. Residents of the islands, as well as regional journalists. We all went down the steps and climbed onto the little stage. I stepped back slightly, as Ghira approached the microphone, which began to sizzle. Ghira asked for silence before speaking.
