Rejection (noun);
"The state of being rejected."
It sucks to be rejected, doesn't it? Be it from friends, family or others, it still hurts. It hurts even more if it was you being rejected. Many of us has had our experiences from this particular word. A word that can evoke so much emotion and yet, make us so vulnerable and exposed.
Rejection is simply a jab in the heart. You can actually feel it's wrath upon your fragile state. In other words, rejection could be in a way, heartbreak in certain cases.
Let's say, that feeling that you've been harbouring for a special someone crumbles to little shards when that said person doesn't feel the same way. Or when a friend or family member disregards you in a situation. It makes you feel left out and of no importance.
But, rejection leads to self-discovery. Simply put, footprints are imprinted into the sand and will eventually be washed away by the waters. Every step you take, the water will wash it away. Rejection will leave an imprint on you but it will be washed away by the recognition and newfound strength in you. It makes you stronger, little as it may be but enough to give you the courage to move on.
So, even when you are in the deepest pits of rejection, have faith and be strong. It will push you out of the darkness and a new path awaits you. Do not worry for what the future holds, just live in the moment.
