As I approach the dorm, I make my last few checks of my makeup and smooth down the hem of my dress in anticipation. It's the first time Chan's inviting me to his dorm since we started dating a month ago. He always said how he was waiting for the right time to introduce me to his friends, his family in fact. I'd vaguely met them on various occasions through the phone and when they picked him up sometimes but never properly. I'm not worried as I'm fairly certain they're lovely people. I'd always found it slightly unnerving and also sweet that he lived with 7 other friends of his but I'd heard from Chan himself about how much he cares for them so I didn't try to ask any further questions on it.Earlier, Chan called me to check up and it sounded as though they were all very excited to meet me. God knows what Chan has told them about me. I can imagine his face while he talks to them about me in the dorm, his dimple showing on his right cheek and his eyes sparkling as he speaks. I hope he said good things, but also not all the little things I say. I'm the type of person to say everything I think of and, although I know Chan finds it adorable, it worries me slightly that he will embarrass me over it.
Sighing, I push all these thoughts away and ring the silver doorbell. The sounds I can hear from the inside of the dorm are loud and boisterous but also very warm and homely. Before I can take one final breath of fresh air, the door swings open to reveal a short boy wearing all black. As my eyes scan from his shoes to his face, my eyes spot various pieces of jewellery and his belt's chanel clasp shimmering in the nightlight.
"Hey, nice to meet you. I'm Changbin, " he said in a low, calm voice. "You must be y/n, come on in." His arm gestures toward the spotless white entrance way behind him.
Nodding, I follow his command and step into the corridor. Just then I am greeted by 3 more boys of the similar height. One of the boys has fluffy brown hair that just covers his eyelashes and he outstretches a warm hand to me, "hi y/n! I'm Seungmin," he smiled at me. The other two both nodded at me.
"I'm Jeongin!" one of the boys says, taking my coat from me and hanging it up on the back of the door.
"I'm Hyunjin," the other blonde boy grins as he tucks a piece of his long golden hair behind his ears to reveal sparkly piercings scattering them. Before I knew it, Changbin and Jeongin have me on an arm and were trailing me through the large house.
I can barely get a word in as they chatter on about how they were excited to see me , complimenting me between each sentence and giggling to each other. I am shocked at how friendly they are, but, at the same time, the butterflies in the pit of my stomach wouldn't rest for a minute as I awaited Chan.
Something about every time I laid eyes on him made me want to curl into a ball and scream. I couldn't even explain my feelings for him to myself, let alone Chan himself. It made me feel all warm but also worried me at the same time. I can't remember a time where I've felt this deeply about someone before.
As we turn the corner, I see a large L shaped sofa and five more heads of hair in front of me. Just as I look to find Chan, a strawberry blonde hair boy in a black suit with faint grey striped stands up and turns toward me. He beams instantaneously and I could've sworn my heart did a back flip at that exact moment.
He quickly comes toward me and takes me into his arms, his strong cologne and the fabric of his suit brushing up against me. I begin to nuzzle into his chest but soon remember the audience and pull out of the hug in embarrassment.
"Y/n," Chan breathes, staring me dead in the eyes and the corners of his mouth turning up into a smile. With a smooth slide of his hand around my waist, he started to point out Felix, Jisung and Minho before quickly whispering into my ear, "you look beautiful."
Looking up at him through my eyelashes, we locked eyes and I smiled. It feels so lovely to be in his home and around the people he feels safest with.
Before any awkwardness kicks in, Felix quickly jumps up with a "lets start the BBQ then," and I breathe a sigh of relief : the starting standoff-ish moment from his friends meeting his partner for the first time didn't last long.
---small timeskip to dinner---
Once we all sat down with the food Felix had prepared, the questions began. Questions such as 'how did you meet?' and 'how do ya like our Channie then?' start to be asked around the loud table and the boys all laugh and share their food together.
As I start to answer the boys, Chan, who is sat next to me, slowly nudges my side causing me to giggle quietly and I nervously look over at him. "This dress looks amazing on you," he quietly murmurs into my ear. My cheeks heat up over his compliment as he gently moves his ringed fingers over onto my leg instead of his own. I splutter in apprehension but none of the others seemed to notice.
I shuffle my chair into the table, practically crushing my own rib cage with the tight squeeze, almost no space between myself and the table itself. Despite all the awkward motions on my behalf, Chan's hand stayed firmly put on bare thigh.
I breathe deeply, trying my hardest to keep my cool in front of his friends who have no idea what's happening under the table. Chan whispers in his lowest tone, "that's right, don't let them know." At that exact moment, the endless washing machine of emotions in my stomach dials another level and I almost feel my heart combust.
The rhythmless back ground music and the boys' conversations fade out almost completely as Chan begins to trail his slender fingers around my inner thigh, gently tickling my bare leg. I shudder as his cold rings brush up against my warm skin and the hem of my dress gets farther and farther up toward my hips. I try to shuffle around in my seat, my cheeks blushing furiously to the point where I worry one of the boys will realise.
Luckily, the boys are all sitting quite far away from us around the table and are pretty hung up in their conversations and soju to realise Chan's unprovoked lip bite as his dark brown eyes stare intently into mine as if no one was in the room. Just us.
As the time continues to pass in what feels like half speed, Chan took his sweet time reaching toward the top of my thigh and near my panties hooking around them hungrily and sighing to himself in a voice no louder than a whisper.
Just at that moment, Minho's drunk face stood up immediately with Hyunjin attached to his arm, singing along to the music that was playing and he says "Chan, serenade us why don't you?"
At that moment, it suddenly feels as though we were snapped back to reality. Chan moved his hand back down my thigh and squeezed it roughly and, with a quick kiss on my cheek, stood us both up.
"Y/n said she's feeling tired so I'm going to take her home guys," the boys all boo Chan and say he should let me stay and that he's being a dad as always. But, he shakes his head and laughs, he assures them, "guys she had a lovely time. She'll be back I'm sure," he says with a smile.
As we gather my stuff, Chan doesn't let go of my waist for a second. He grips onto it like it's the only thing keeping him afloat. I smile and take his hand in mine instead, intertwining our fingers, as we walk out onto the patio outside.
The cool summer breeze blows my hair into my face and, before I can, Chan gets there first. He gently takes the strands of hair and put them behind my ear before giving me a sweet kiss on the tip of my nose and smiling.
Taking me into his broad arms, "I love you." he murmurs into my hair. I nuzzle deeper into his chest before propping myself onto his shoulder and hugging him tighter. I never want to let him go.
