Kyosuke tossed and turned in his bed all night, not getting much sleep. Even though he was at home, he couldn't shake his thoughts from Juzo. Sleeping in the hospital wasn't very comfortable, but he wanted to be there with Juzo. At least he was getting discharged tomorrow. Kyosuke missed him.
Juzo was the first person who had ever shown Kyosuke kindness. They had been friends before Chisa came along. Kyosuke was the type of person to never even acknowledge his own emotions, and even when he did, he never thought about them for too long. So when Juzo confessed his feelings (well, Junko confessed for him) Kyosuke was shocked. He had never been loved like this before.
Even in his relationship with Chisa, he only loved her for the sake of appearances. If they didn't have partners, it would be seen as unusual for someone of their age and caliber. But Juzo was different. He didn't care what others thought of him. He never showed his emotions until that day.
Kyosuke finally went to sleep, thinking about how he was glad that Juzo was comfortable enough around him to show emotions like that.
Kyosuke woke up to his phone buzzing from countless calls and texts. He picked up on one from Juzo.
"Did something happen? Am I late to picking you up?"
"No, Kyosuke- Did you see the news? Its Chisa."
Kyosuke quickly sat up and turned on the TV, searching for the news channel. The normal newswoman sat at a table, stacking her papers.
"Hello, I am Mia Corvere for News 8. Today, we interviewed a teacher about her colleagues at Hope's Peak Academy. Truth be told, we didn't expect much from this interview. But what we got... Well, roll the tapes."
"Juzo, are we watching the same thing?"
"Mhm."
"I'm on my way over to the hospital. We shouldn't be alone right now."
"Yeah. See you soon."
"I love you."
"Love you too."
Kyosuke drove to the hospital quickly, listening to the news on the radio. Chisa had told this news reporter lies, and people were quick to take up for her because she was just a "young, innocent woman." She said that Juzo had attacked her, when it was the other way around.
Kyosuke walked into the hospital very quickly, starting to worry. Would Juzo be hurt? Was Chisa going to try and get the law involved?
Juzo was sitting up in the hospital bed, his eyes glued to the TV, his hands clasped tightly. Kyosuke walked in and sat next to Juzo, wrapping an around around his shoulders.
"How is it?"
"Well, she said she wasn't going to press charges, but she couldn't anyway."
"Yeah. Wait, I just thought of something. Did she uh-"
"Beat me up?"
"Yeah- Did she beat you up on campus?"
"I think? Why?"
"There are cameras almost everywhere. We installed our cameras so that there would be no blind spots outside. Could we somehow prove that she was lying?"
"Mmm, that sounds like a good idea."
Juzo sighed. He was tired.
"We could stop by the school today if you want. No one should be there since its Saturday. But you're probably tired."
"No, I think we should let someone know as soon as possible. I am tired, but I'll be fine."
"Okay, if you're sure."
It took a few hours, but Juzo finally got discharged, and they left to check the video footage of he and Chisa's fight at Hope's Peak.
