Runaway Chase

Runaway (chapter 2)

Today is different, Rocky woke up all the pups instead of Chase, he was questioning why his doing Chase's job.

Rocky's POV

I woke up before everyone, I was surprised that Chase didn't come wake us up like he always does I walked into the lookout to see Ryder with are breakfast out. "Hey Ryder, Need any help?" I spoke. He looked at me "Go wake up the other pups" Ryder spoke so I did exactly that and woke them all up. They all went to the lookout, then I went to Chase's Pup house to wake him up, I tried and tried again but he was in a deep sleep so I decided to leave him alone.

Chase's Dream

Chase went out of his pup house and all of the pups looked at him. Then they started calling him a bad leader, and that he should give his position up, Chase sat there crying after they did Marshall came and supported me like best friends would. (End of dream)

Chase POV

I woke up and I just looked at the pups who were playing except Rocky who was helping Ryder fix his quad bike. Marshall stopped playing and came to talk. "Hey Chase" Marshall said "Hi Marshall" I replied "Wanna play?" Marshall asked "Sure" I replied. "Tug of war?" I asked. "Sure" Marshall answered. After some time we sat there to rest, I decided to go ask Ryder for a snack. "Hey Ryder can I go get a snack?" I asked. "Sure go ahead Chase" Ryder replied. After eating I decided to go take a nap.

Later that day

I woke up thinking about the nightmare I had it just kept popping up in my mind every time, I walked into the lookout so I decided to go ask Ryder if I could go for a walk round the Bay and he said sure just don't be back late I left and then hid in a bush I heard all the pups talking about me and my leadership again and asked myself do they do this every time I leave. Then I left the lookout walking around town then back to the lookout had dinner. I walked back to my pup house.

Marshall POV

Chase has been acting very different recently I told Ryder and he said he is probably fine but I knew something was wrong so I decided "Hey Chase" I spoke. "Yes Marshall?" Chase said. "Are you alright you seem off" I asked. "Yeah I'm fine just having bad memories" I lied. "Alright Chase if you say so". I know something is wrong he properly just didn't want to speak about it and I didn't want to push him to say it so I went to my pup house and went to sleep

Chase POV

I couldn't sleep it was about 1AM, Then I decided to run away its what the pups want, they can find a better leader. I wrote two letters one for Ryder and one for my best friend Marshall I packed my stuff, Left my Pup house and Pup tag so they couldn't track me, I placed one letter in front of Marshall's pup house and placed a rock so the wind wouldn't blow it away, then one inside the lookout next to the elevator for Ryder to read. Then I left Adventure Bay not being spotted. I looked at the mountains and I knew that was the perfect place to lay low and I don't think Everest and Jake will be fine with me staying or close by from the Cabin I don't think they will be rude to me like the other pups "At least Marshall was a good friend" I mumbled. "No Chase you need to forget about them, they betrayed you"
