Astrid saw the same forest they were in just a second ago but instead of it being midnight, it was so bright.
The sun made her close her eyes until she adjusted to the lightening.
'What the hell just happened?'
She looked around and saw children everywhere, on trees, playing hide and seek, screaming.
"Take her there"
"Basileus"
"Don't talk back and do as I say"
Astrid heard faint talks behind her back
Her mind was not adjusting
What was going on?
What happened and where are they going to take her
"Lets go" A man beside her said
It was the guy with the brown hair beside him was the guy beside her in the car.
"No, no no no" Was all she could manage to say
One of them was trying to grab her hand but she pulled it away
She knew the land. She lived here for so long.
She wanted to run to her house which was far but she knows she is safe.
She is still where she was few minutes ago. Right?
"We are no where near where you think we are" The black haired guy said
"My name is Jeremy, BTW and i want you to stay calm so i can explain"
"Explain what?" Astrid was in the edge of dying "I passed out then you woke me up and played this evil game to mess my mind up" She yelled
"Hey, listen" Jeremey started and the guy beside him looked away
"Listen nothing happened, we just moved to another world that looks like yours" He caught his breath "You need to come with us calmly, yeah?"
"How did it happen?" She started walking
"I don't know how we got you with us but we do this all the time" Jeremy explained "We just say roman prayers that opens the portal and we are here" He looked down at her
"Roman?" She asked confused
"Yeah, we are old."
"The thi̱río inside of us, the beast, they are ancient.There is romans, greeks, mayans, aztecs and all the other ancient civilization that ever existed. They were living in the normal world where you used to live." The brown hair guy started explaining "The beasts needed bodies to hide so they started possessing human bodies and when the human they are hiding in dies they move on to another human who hold can handle their abilities. That made the Gods pissed so they banished them. They couldn't kill them so they duplicated the same world and sent them here. Of course not all of them. Some were unrecognizable in human form so they stayed on earth and somehow managed to open a portal between the two worlds." After he was done, Astrid was thinking million thoughts
"If this... the beast's world... uh... yeah... Why don't you just beast out?
Jeremy giggled
"There isn't just one type of beast, there are many..."
"Yeah, yeah they are all types of animals they change according to their human characteristics" Astrid cut him off remembering her father's words
"Not just animals... Creatures" He looked at her "I don't know how to explain until you see them. Back to the question, there are many types of beasts and some fears others. If we are in our not in human forms it'll cause chaos and some will have more power than other, some will hide or leave."
"Powers?"
"Yeah, each beast have different abilities"
"So anyone can enter who are beasts?" She was referring to her dad
"If they didn't break any rules yeah" Jeremy replied
"Your father can't enter" The brown hair boy said as his friend nudged him
"There are rules? Gods? What?" She ignored what the boy said. She Astrid felt really devastated not seeing her father again. She just wanted to apologize and say goodbye
They walked in silence for almost 10 minutes
"Can you show me what you are?" Astrid broke the quietness
The boys slowed down and looked at each other then the boy with brown hair looked at her
"Are you sure?"
"yeah" She answered quietly
Black and blue veins crawled on their faces and in a millisecond they changed. They transformed into lions.
Astrid stared wide eyes not believing what she saw
Is she supposed to run?
She couldn't think
They were beautiful, tanned color, fur around their face, and small fangs piecing out of their teeth that seem very sharp.
'Strong are lion like' remebering her father's words
"Wow"
The veins reappeared as they retreated back into human form
"Does it hurt?"
"You sure do ask a lot of questions" The brown hair guy said as they started walking again "By the way, I'm Tom."
"Last one"
The boys both sighed and Tom nodded
"Where are you taking me?... and where is the hunk?"
Tom gave her a death glare and Jeremy laughed so loudly
"The 'hunk' is the king of this place. His name is Kaden. He makes the rules and set the consequences. He is well respected and better if you respect him too" Tom replied with a deadly tone and paced his steps
Jeremy looked at Astrid
"We are going to take you to prison" His eyes screams sorry
She laughed
'Are they serious?'
His expression didn't change
"Oh my God, you are serious" She started at tall man beside her
"It's time"
She looked where he was looking and found a huge mansion that was so beautiful to exist.
