(my hands are literally shaking, i never got a chance to share my ideas with the public before now, so who knows what will happen. so here's your villainxhero stuff)

Alex's phone buzzed as the first shops began opening, Thatberg could be called many things, but small was not one of them. It took Alex nearly all night to patch up his stab wound and make his way back home. his options of transport had been limited by the knife wound in his stomach. Checking his phone, he saw a message from a hidden number, simply stating an address and that the sender wanted a tso tofu curry. The audacious nature of the post told him it was clearly Ghost, his smug and shady informant.

He remembered the first time he met Ghost. It had been just after he had foiled an attempt on the mayor's life; so naturally he was brooding on a rooftop waiting for the crowds to disperse so he could slip away into the night. The night was dark and his mood was darker; it was a perfect time to brood. Looking back he shouldn't have been surprised when Ghost shattered the gritty mature atmosphere with the loud slurping of his hot chocolate.

He was now sitting at a window seat at their agreed meeting place, feet up on the table. Ghost was leafing through a dossier of classified information with the same energy as someone partaking in classical literature on a slow Sunday afternoon. He looked up in surprise as he heard the entrance bell ring.

Catching the dossier that Ghost tossed him from across the table, Alex asked straightforwardly 'what is it this time? The boss got connections to the mafia?'. 'Of course they do, ' said Ghost exasperatedly; ripping up his script for the monologue he spent all night writing. 'I just thought you'd like to hear it from a person, you know' he grumbled.

A friendly looking waitress approached the two men to ask them their order. Ghost snapped out of his mood to meticulously slip his hand across the table to steal one of those small chocolates that they leave on the table from Alex, as he had devoured his before he had arrived. He could feel the smooth surface of the chocolate rapper, almost tasting the bitter subtle hint of mint perfectly balanced with the sweeter taste of chocolate. Just as his palm was about to painstakingly close around the package, a deafening explosion leveled the square.

Now, before I get into the clearly riveting action scene, I feel as if I must explain the history of thatberg. Two years ago on December 31, 2020; a seismic event occurred, exposing ancient machinery that lay buried under Stonehenge in England for uncountable centuries. Upon exposure to sunlight, the machine activated, this was known as the Activation, this event changed the course of the earth forever. As well as new species of 'magical' creatures being discovered, pioneering researchers developed a new type of science, 'Imperology'. This science is a technical implementation of magic energies and laws.

Thatland came into existence on the first of January the following year. Pioneers once again set out to explore this new land and founded the city 'Thatberg', the frontier of innovation in magical sciences. But it wasn't all sunshine, as new types of villainy came into existence, super villains and people wishing to capitalize the new world's natural resources began springing out of the floor boards; but as good will would dictate, extraordinary people stood up, becoming SUPER HEROES!

A new age was born, one that had been fantasied about for generations. An uncertain future is ahead for this new world, but if the foundations are strong enough, a city won't fall to any storm.

The laughter died down in the lecture hall as the professor wrapped up his lecture. "Meteorites move at insane speeds as they don't have the resistance of gravity or air resistance. As shown in the equation e = mc^2, the energy something has is directly proportional to the mass of an object, so the faster an object travels, the heavier it is. Thus, meteorites moving through space create a dip in the fabric of space like planets do. As time is affected greatly by the movement of space, meteorites and other celestial bodies can warp time to a limited degree... Well, that's just my theory". The professor closed his notebook with his usual vigor "I expect your thoughts on the subject of temporal anomalies on my desk by next week".
