Brothers

Chapter 11

Andrea shot up from his bed as the sound of glass shattering woke him up, He hurried towards the direction he had heard the sound, and Low cries filled his ears, panicked. he increased his steps.

“Buddy” He breathed out, as he saw his little brother entangled in sheets and soaked in sweat, He was having another nightmare. another one.

It had been a few weeks since the whole incident and Louis was doing better, infact. He had become independent. Louis was either trying to avoid Andrea or trying to prove something  Andrea has no clue about. But his brother was drifting apart. and he had to do something about it.

They no longer cuddled. Louis stopped coming to Andrea's bed to sleep at night (he did that sometimes!)
and he could barely even look him in the eye. Andrea was worried. very worried.

     He had heard this same cries yesterday, but Louis had locked him out saying he would be fine, He was pretty sure his brother did not sleep that night, he would not let it repeat it self, he had to do something and now.

His heart clenched as heard another heart wrenching cry, He went straight to work. First he had  to calm down his little brother.

“Shh” He cooed as he rubbed the boy's back and pulled him closer, Louis continued to crash and cry, Andrea carefully scooped him up, Taking note of the smell of urine that filled his nostrils, how did he not notice that?

After rocking him, for a considerable amount of time, Louis cries became hiccups “I-it's my fault—” He tried to speak but Andrea shushed him he needed him to calm down first “No, baby. this is not your fault, just an accident, accidents happen sometimes” He cooed

Once he was relatively calm, Andrea did a quick work of taking off the boy's clothes which were soaked in urine and sweat. All through, Louis had whined and whimpered, mumbling something about how this was all his fault, to which Andrea shushed him.

After a quick bath, with consisted of Andrea's support all through, Louis was fresh and clean and only sniffling a bit, He had a better grip on his bladder so he no longer had inconsistencies, but on his bad days, The doctor had still recommended he wore it, if he was stressed.

Andrea, did not want to stress him. more, or push the boy farther away, so he did not bring up the pull up issue, he simply wrapped the boy, who was quite sleepy by now, and headed towards his room, this caused a loud whine from Louis, Who was Currently sitting on Andrea's hip and nuzzling into his brothers neck

Andrea laid Louis down on His bed and the boy was out cold. He smiled as he go into bed and cuddling into him, He would take care of the sheets later, He missed cuddle time with his little bug.
