Louis slowly opened his eyes, the strong scent of disinfectant hitting his nose, to weak to make an actual comment about his surrounding he scanned it with his eyes, till it fell on Andrea who was sitting beside him, asleep.

He thought about waking him up but quickly decided against it, he must have been sleep depraved for a while, it was in that moment Louis felt pain soar through his body as he recalled the events that had occurred. From how stiff his body was he could properly deduce it had to have been a few days,

He tried to sit but failed he squeezed his eyes shut trying to forget the memories that plagued his mind.

"lou?" a voice brought him back from his torturous thoughts he glanced in the direction of the voice and his eyes met Andrea's blue orbs with dark circles

"shh.. Calm down it's okay it's over baby" at first Louis had been confused till realization hit him, he had been silently sobbing this whole time but the scariest part was he didn't know he couldn't feel!

He panicked his chest rising and falling like tides, how eyes widened.

"shh baby it's alright you're fine it's just the drugs you've been out for a while that's all nothing to worry about" Andrea tried to soothe his brother running his hand through his hair, it was then Louis noticed a bullet had grazed his brother

"andy" he croaked out staring at the bandaged hand "it's nothing" Andrea replied "just a small graze" he said with a smile.

A nurse walked into the room, she gave an easy smile before speaking, "you're awake,i'll inform the doctor," with that she left and returned with a female doctor in her late 20's

After examining Louis, she sighed before speaking.

"can I have a word with you Mr decker?"

"of course" Andrea spoke standing up, Louis eyes traced them but he was too weak to oppose or object..

"you're kidding right?" andrea asked pain evident in his features

"I'm sorry Mr decker, but it's true your brother might never be the same again, he has been damaged not only psychologically and physically but also mentally, the PTSD episodes will get more severe, and from all his recent medical records, I highly recommend seeing a psychologist to help him psychological,he needs the utmost care, here's the number of a renowned psychologist," the doctor whose name was Ariel continued " I highly recommend he see's her, do keep him away from any news that can affect his mental health , i'll discharge him tomorrow there's not much we can do but depend on the physiotherapists and psychologists"

"sure, thanks" Andrea said as he came back into the hospital room

"when are we leaving?" Louis croaked out.

"tomorrow" Andrea said still quite distressed about the news he had just received

"the doctor says you'll need abit of physiotherapy since you haven't walked in days but that's nothing serious"

"Ohh, sure" Louis said

Andrea slowly wheeled Louis out of the hospital, not without a lot of fussing

"I told you I can walk didn't I? I was only a bit stiff when I woke up, this is ridiculous" he complained.

Andrea just rolled his eyes as they reached the car and returned the wheel chair.

"see?" Louis said as he stood up on his own and entered the car "totally capable" he said as he entered the car.

The drive was quiet until Louis asked the million dollar question

"what happened to Alicia?"
