Chapter 49

It had been a month since Taehyung fell into a coma. Jeongguk was losing his mind but kept himself sane and strong for the kids. They tracked down Bogum and sentenced him to 7 years in prison. Jeongguk was happy but still angry. He didn't get the chance to talk to him and get some answers, but he will get them when the time comes.

It was morning and Jeongguk was sleeping soundly with Jungho and Yeonjun beside him. The babies were by his bed, sleeping with a full stomach. He moved to the side and opened his eyes slightly looking over the kids and he sat up rubbing his eyes. He looked at Taehyung to see him moving, more like twitching in his sleep. His eyes widened and he immediately pressed the red button next to Taehyungs bed to get a doctor in.

His body was on fire and his heart was pounding so fast he thought he will faint any moment. The doctor came inside and checked Taehyungs vitals to see there are okay. "He is waking up give him some time. When he wakes up don't pressure him, call us immediately." With that they walked outside and Jeongguk just sat beside Taehyungs bed looking over his perfect face. "Come on baby, wake up, you need to meet our little prince and princess." A lone tear slid down his cheek and he wiped it away when he heard soft groans coming from his bed. "My babies, did you sleep well?" he kissed Jungho and Yeonjuns head and got a nod from them. "Okay let's go have breakfast. We will bring little brother and sister." They squealed not so loudly and got down the bed wearing their red and blue slipper socks and moved to the baby cribs. Waving cutely and blowing a kiss to the babies they waited for Jeongguk to get ready, take his wallet. Setting the babies in the twin stroller that they got from Taehyungs parents they waved at the sleeping beauty and walked out of the room.

The small family ate in the hospital cafeteria and had fun. The two boys fed their little siblings and were so happy when the babies would giggle. Jeongguk was so happy his heart was full with warmth, pride and most love. He loves his family and the love will double up only if Taehyung was here. With his bright smile and cute soft giggles feeding their kids and making baby sounds to get a smile from the boys. He missed him so much, he misses his voice the most and the sparkle in his eyes whenever he talks about the kids. "Daaddd, don't be sad mommy will wake up soon" Yeonjun smiles and patted his fluffy hair making Jeongguk smile and kiss the boy's hair. "Okay baby. Now eat so we can go out to the playground." They nodded and ate their food giggling between at Jeongguk struggling to eat while rolling the stroller back and forth.

That night they went to sleep with hopes of Taehyung waking up like the past month. After the babies and the boys fell asleep listening to Jeongguks soothing voice singing Sweet Night, Jeongguk sat on Taehyungs bed looking at him caressing the back of his hand.

"Baby... if you can hear me, please wake up. We miss you so much and Taegguk and Areum are yet to meet you." He fell silent looking at Taehyungs nose smiling seeing the cute mole he kissed every night before going to sleep. "You look so beautiful while sleeping. Just like sleeping beauty. I kiss you every night in hopes you'll wake up like the princess but you never did. Are you ignoring me? Is this a punishment for leaving you that day with the kids? I'm really sorry baby." He wiped a tear and smiled bringing Taehyungs hand up to his cheek and leaning on it missing the warmth. "I love you so much my baby. Please stop the punishment. I've learned my lesson to never leave you alone. Please baby wake up, the kids need you... I need you" he kissed his palm and took his left hand kissing the wedding ring and engagement ring. "I miss your smile, I miss looking at your sparkly eyes, and I miss your soft voice telling me to be careful and to come home safe from work." Intertwining their fingers, he squeezed them slightly and continued talking.

"You know baby, I lost my parents a week before my seventeenth birthday. I was a mess. I didn't even have a party but a bunch of lawyers coming and going from my house talking about inheritance and that I should start working when I turn nineteen. It was such a bad time for me, I mean for anyone that loses their parents. When I met you, I just knew you will be a big part of my life, that's why I was ready to be a father to Yeonjun. I promised myself to be the best father ever and to always love and cherish my family. But when I hugged you. Baby, Tae, my love I felt like I was hugging my mother again. You radiate that motherly energy and your every touch is a mother's touch. I don't want to lose you like I lost my mom. I don't want our babies to grow up and not have a mother figure by their side." He let out a deep breath. "So please baby, if you can hear me. Wake up and come back to Yeonjun, Jungho, Taegguk, Areum and me, your Ggukie. Please baby." He kissed his forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks ad lips. "I love you baby. Come back to us soon." He sang Nothing like us in a low hushed voice caressing his cheeks and hands. After he finished, he kissed him once more and went to bed and fell asleep after a prayer.

The next day it was a normal day. They kissed Taehyungs cheeks, ate in the cafeteria and played with the babies.

Around lunch the kids wanted to eat with Taehyung so they got the food and walked back to the room. They were eating talking a little bit, making jokes, having a normal lunch time. Until Jungho pointed at Taehyungs bed. "Dad, mommy's awake, but why isn't he smiling?" Jeongguks world came to a stop and slowly turned to Taehyung to see the boy's eyelids opening and closing looking at the ceiling.

He told the boys to be silent and he moved slowly to his husband and pressed the red button. "Hey baby, you finally woke up." He said softly gaining Taehyung's attention. But Taehyung's face didn't show happiness and love like they used to and they didn't sparkle. They showed confusion and to add his eyebrows furrowed which they only do when he is working on new clothes. And Jeongguks stomach was turning and heart pumped really fast. But not in a good way.

The doctor got into the room rushing to Taehyung checking his vitals and before the doctor could check his eye sight he asked Jeongguk a question that he never wanted to hear from the love of his life.

"I'm sorry sir, but, who are you?"
