Silas Pemberton was born in 1761 to Richard and Ruth Pemberton, as the only son and child, as was somewhat a tradition in the Pemberton family. Ruth raised her son to be an intelligent but fair individual, whilst Richard drilled diligence and authority into their son. In 1787, Silas mourned the loss of his father who died of old age. Ruth saw her son marry, and have two children before succumbing to death by old age in 1798.
Martha Walford was born in 1765 to Sampson and Judith "Judy" Walford, who became the first and only daughter of the wealthy Londoners. When Martha debuted in 1789, where she met, courted and eventually married Silas, the Earl of Rochford. In 1790, Martha gave birth to a son named Samuel Silas Pemberton, then in 1795, Judith Martha Pemberton was born.
In between Martha's two pregnancies, Roger and Abigail Warwick, who were the Pemberton's coachman and Martha's lady's maid, had a baby daughter named Phoebe (born 1794), but Abigail lost too much blood after the birth and passed, Roger became an alcoholic and neglected the baby, who had been cared for by the Pemberton's night nurse and Martha. One night, Roger Warwick resigned from his job as the coachman, placed Phoebe in the Pemberton's nursery, and left his daughter in the care of the Pemberton family.
Upon seeing the abandoned Warwick in the same nursery as their son, Martha and Silas summoned Abigail's sister, Cecilia, who would raise her niece while the Pembertons provided her well. When Phoebe was 16, she mourned the loss of her Aunt Cecilia, who was killed in a street brawl. Martha decided to give Phoebe a job as Judith's personal maid, and treated her with respect.
THE MONTGOMERY FAMILY, MARQUESSATE OF WHARTON
Thomas Montgomery was born in 1767 to Lord Augustus and Lady Susan Montgomery, the Marquess and Marchioness of Wharton, however after he was born, doctors deemed Lady Susan might not survive if she were to give birth another child. So, unwillingly, there couple raised their child and had relations, but did not conceive another child.
Upon Thomas' 20th birthday, he visited France, and in it's capital Paris, he met, fell in love with and married French aristocrat Adrienne Beauchamp in 1787. When the newlyweds returned to England, and to his home, he farewelled his dying father and the newlyweds were now the new Marquess and Marchioness of Wharton, with the Dowager Marchioness of Wharton. 9 months after the death of the late Marquess of Wharton, Adrienne gave birth to a son whom the couple named Richard Thomas Montgomery, who until his 18th birthday would be titled the Viscount Montgomery future Marquess of Wharton.
Adrienne Beauchamp was born in 1769, the second eldest daughter of Judge Francois and Mrs Mathilde Beauchamp. Odette (born 1766), Emilie (born 1772) and Leopold (born 1774).. When Adrienne was 17, she lost her younger sister, Emilie, in a catastrophic fire. A year later, in 1787 she met, fell in love with and married the future Marquess of Wharton, Thomas Montgomery.
When arriving in England and meeting her in-laws, Adrienne was now being schooled in the duties of a Marchioness, and managing pregnancy with her first child, Oliver Thomas Montgomery (born 1788). After a few years, Adrienne the Marchioness delivered their eldest daughter Elizabeth Adrienne Montgomery (born 1792), who had stolen her parents' hearts, and had her Papa wrapped around her finger. After returning home from visiting the Marchioness' family in France, delivered another daughter Emilie Susanne Montgomery (born 1795), named after their late aunt Emilie.
