Will's POV
It's the next day and as exhausted as I am, I don't regret a thing about last night. I can't wait to go to work and see Connor. Being around him just makes me so happy, I can't explain it. I could talk to him for centuries without getting bored. I could drown in his crystal blue eyes but never die. Ok, I really like him. But just as a friend. It's not weird. He's just conventionally attractive. That's all it is.
Connor's POV
Oh god. I haven't felt this way about a guy since college. And that was just one time. But he's straight. He's with Nat. I'd never want to come between the two of them. It's okay, it'll probably fade.
Famous last words. A few minutes later, I walk into the hospital and my eyes are flooded by bright light. And Will Halstead. His amazing red hair, his chocolate-brown eyes. Oh no.
'Connor, hey.'
'Hey, Will. How are you?'
'Okay, you?'
Oh, he is more than okay.
'Not too bad.'
'Good. Actually, I was just gonna try to find you. Can you come and help me with a patient?'
'Sure. I'll just put my jacket in my locker.'
'Okay, room six!'
'Got it!'
Oh no. I am screwed. Will's POV
He's so smart. And so adorable. Okay, maybe it's weird. But why does it have to be? Can't friends find each other physically attractive? Can't people think their friends are smart?
We end up working on a case together all day and he saves the guy's life when I'm pretty sure it's impossible. He really is amazing.
It seems people have started to pick up on our friendship. Or whatever it is. We keep getting looks. Everywhere we go. It's pretty annoying, actually. Especially when Nat does it. She just seems kind of suspicious any time I'm near Connor. I don't know what I can say or do to stop her. Or everyone else.~
(A/N: Sorry for the short chapter, I've been a bit preoccupied with another fan fic today)
