You do your line art and put down your base color. Depending on your style, i would make sure that the line art is a darker version of the base color. My color is pink/red so my base is a darker shade of that.

Next your gonna want to do a gradient of darker and lighter shades of your base color. I recommend putting them all next to your eye on the canvas like i have done because it makes it a lot easier and quicker. I recommend to do more darker ones if your base color is lighter and more lighter shades if your eye has a darker base color.

Find the edge pen tool and draw a heart or any shape really in the middle of your eye. I would like to point out that depending on your drawing program the tool could be different. Like i originally did this eye style on fire alpaca and the pen was just called "edge pen" but on ibispaint x, in order for it to look good it had to be "outline (fade)". Just choose the one with the thinner outline lol. Also make the outline a very vibrant shade of your base color.
