Anyways, I got sudden inspiration for this and decided to write it. It's not that long, but still

Also, to anyone who's wondering, I am still writing the beauty pageant au, it's just that I have writer's block and motivation issues

 "Have you done your homework yet?" Lava looked up from her phone, which was currently playing a vine compilation on YouTube, to see Luna coming in from the kitchen.

"Nooooo....."

Luna sighed. "You know it's due tomorrow, right?"

"Yep," Lava said, turning her eyes back to her phone. "I'll do it later, when I have more energy."

"If you say so..."

"How can you procrastinate so much and still get good grades?" Snowy asked, walking into the room.

"I put the 'pro' in 'procrastinate'," Lava replied.

There was a pause before Mahogany looked up from where she was seated on the ground and decided to join the conversation. "You know, for someone who draws power from the sun, you sure are lazy during the day."

"I'm a creature of darkness," Lava stated.

"Yeah, right," Mahogany said, rolling her eyes.

"Actually, Lava why do you sleep all day?" Tulip asked, confused. "I thought you would be an early riser, considering your main power source."

"Photosynthesis," Lava said, still not looking up from her phone.

Mahogany threw a pillow at her head. "You're not a plant!"

"Okay, so?" Lava asked, finally looking up from her phone. "I still get power from the sun while I sleep, so I can build it up and save it for nighttime."

"What are you doing at nighttime that causes you to use your powers?" Snowy asked.

"Nothing, but what if something happened? It would be useful to have power stored up just in case." Lava pointed out.

"Sure it would," Luna piped up. "If your powers worked like that." Before Lava could say anything, she continued. "You have such strong powers that you don't necessarily need a power source to use them. If you were awake during the day, it would have no effect on how well you would be able to use them in case of emergency."

"Ugh, whatever," Lava said. "I guess I'm just lazy."

"Yep, you definitely are," Mahogany snickered.

Lava returned the favor from earlier and threw a pillow at her head. "You're one to talk, Miss I-need-a-3-hour-nap-everyday."

"Well, unlike you, Wolf-girl, I actually do stuff the hours that I am awake."

"Sure, Lioness." Lava rolled her eyes before turning back to her phone, continuing to procrastinate despite the fact that time was ticking away until her deadline.
