As Techno walked into the classroom he is met with sapnap, tears falling down from his face. 

"UGLY, STUPID, GAY, DIE-nap-" He read from Sapnap's table, rude words carved into the desk with dark ink. "Whats the meaning of this? Sapnap?"

Techno wanted to help sapnap, but Dream put his hand on his shoulder, giving him a small shake of his head, signaling to interfere.

"This happened because I lost to you! " Sapna angrily called out, pointing his finger at Techno.

"Come on, put your name tag on."

"If you violate the rules, it'll add to your debt."

"Mittens!"

Hyakkao Private Academy.

A hierarchy exists at this prestigious school. It's not grades or athletic prowess that gets you to the top. Just your gambling skills, nothing else.

Techno was getting worried asking if Sapnap was fine, I couldn't lie to him, he looked scared.

"What happened to Mary isn't your fault. It's just the rule at this academy.."

"Rule?"

"Yeah.A lot of students are from families of political and business leaders. If you're gonna rule over others someday, you need negotiating skills, the ability to read people's minds, and also, the ability to come through when it counts." Dream added,"That's the academy's philosophy."

"Oh."

"That's why at this school, the skilled gamblers are the most popular. Those who aren't become the object of oppression. Specifically, there's a hierarchy here."

A long pause of silence between the two males.

"STUDENT COUNCIL ROOM Donations are made to the student council, which controls all the gambling. The amount you donate determines your rank. Rankings are announced on an irregular basis, if you're in the bottom 100 of the 3,000-strong student body, you become a non-cooperative student, a house pet. Your name is "Fido" if you're male, "Mittens" if you're female."

"Oh, so you also..."

"Yeah. But thanks to a special donation of one million, I got that revoked, thanks to you.!"

"Oh, my. Congratulations, then."

"Thank you from the bottom of--"

(They talk a bit more during break time and Techno asks about the pet system.)

"It didn't used to be this bad. Everything changed two years ago, after the current student council president took office. Wilbur Soot. This academy combines junior high and high school, but she transferred into the high school. He became student council president right off the bat by gambling with the previous president for the position.."

"Oh, my! He became president by gambling?

"The members of our student council are all elite gamblers, to beat the best of them is mind-blowing. he started pushing through reforms. That's when the donation and Fido-Mittens systems were created."

"That's when it started?"

"When the discrimination intensified.."

"Well, Sapnap's case is extreme." Techno replied.

"But he roped everyone into his scheme, then suffered a crushing defeat."

"For it to happen on the same day as donation deadlines, that's bad luck."

Dream regret what he said,"Oh, sorry. Did all that talk scare you?"

"Seriously, the more I hear about it, the more fringe this academy is,I'm so glad that I transferred here." Techno's face twisted into a sinister smile then into his normal emotionless one.

"Exciting.."
