"I feel like I am in heaven since I had applied sindoor on your partition and tied mangalsutra around your neck. You are mine forever now." Krish said, as his lips stretched into a beautiful smile.
"Oi! It had been five years since you had said that famous dialogue of yours. When will you stop dreaming of that day?" Aradhika chuckled and shook Krish, who was in his dream world, which remembered him their wedding day.
The way he proposed to her on valentines day and how she had surprised him by asked him to marry her right then. Above all, the second, he filled her hairline with sindoor and tied a mangalsutra in her neck, was evergreen in his heart.
He remembered that day often whenever he saw that day in his dream. The same happened again today. In end, he started blabbering in sleep.
"Jaan, wake up!" Aradhika shook him hard, which made Krish wake up with a jolt.
"Y...Yes!" He yawned, as he looked around their room.
"Once again dream." He smiled and stretched his hands and legs.
"Yes, now apply this to me. It had been so long since you had applied sindoor to me." Aradhika forwarded a vermillion box to Krish.
He smiled and made her sit in his lap. He slid his left arm around her tiny waist and nuzzled his face in the crook of her neck.
She closed her eyes, as his hot breath fanned against her delicate skin. He took a pinch of sindoor and filled her hairline with it, inhaling her sandal fragrance.
"I love you," Krish whispered in her ears, kissing her earlobe.
"I love you too, Krish." She got out of his hold and grabbed a towel from the cupboard.
"Bathing time." She threw a towel to him and gestured him to go to the washroom.
"It's my baby's time." He laid on the bed, keeping his head on his palm by hoisting himself with the help of his elbow and planted a soft kiss on the temple of his baby boy.
Aradhika smiled at them both and moved out of the room to make breakfast.
Just then Krish's mobile rang. He picked up the call in 1st ring itself, as he didn't want his baby boy to wake up from his beautiful slumber.
"Hello." He said.
"Krish, Mom here. How are you, Aaru and baby?" Krish's mother, Rathi, asked him in her sugar-coated voice.
"Fine, Mumma! How are you and dad?" Krish said softly like always though he knew that his mother was yet trying to separate him and Aradhika.
There was a moment of silence from another side before Rathi resumed her conversation. She would forget herself if Krish called her 'mumma'.
"Fine, dear. I had informed your father about your baby. We all wish to celebrate the naming ceremony of the baby lavishly this weekend. Come to our house on Saturday night." She said fondly and to her surprise she had forgotten the intention behind the naming ceremony.
She felt the love for that small baby grows in her heart. For some reason, that baby's eyes flashed in front of her eyes and she felt that she was attracted to that baby magnetically.
Krish smiled and replied, "Okay, Mumma. We will come. I love you."
Rathi's eyes pooled when she heard those words. It had been so long since she had heard those words from her son's mouth. She felt a stinge of pain pricked her heart due to guilt. Maybe she knew that she didn't deserve that 'I love you.
"Love you too, sweetheart. Take care of you guys." She disconnected the call.
Krish kept the mobile aside and wrapped his arms around his baby.
"Woah! My dear baby, you had achieved something which I and my brothers couldn't achieve since our birth. Your eyes did their magic on your dadi since you had seen her. No one can indeed shower more love than you, Adishesh. I had named you so correctly as Dhrish." Krish kissed the baby's forehead and he could see the baby's lips curled into a smile though he was sleeping.
He kept the pillows around the baby, so that he won't fall and went to take shower.
Once he came back from the shower his eyes fell on the formal dress, which Aradhika had kept on the bed for him. He made faces seeing that and called Aradhika to the room.
"Jaan, what is this? Why did you keep the formal dress for me?" Krish frowned at Aradhika but she was already lost in the view in front of her.
Krish had just wrapped the towel around his lower hip and water was dripping from his top to bottom. He looked dam hot when he made an angry face.
"He will be my death," Aradhika muttered under her breath.
"Aaru! I am not going to the office for at least a month. I wanna spend time with you and baby." He shouted, making her come to her sense.
"Jaan, I can understand you. But work is also important, right? I don't wish to be an obstacle in your business." She said looking here and there but not him.
"Jaan, wherever I am, work will go perfectly in the office. So, one month of family time won't harm. By the way, why are you looking here and there instead of me and my eyes?" Aradhika gulped down as she felt his mint fragrance filling her nostrils.
He was near her, just an inch away. If she looked at his eyes, then they would have their breakfast during lunchtime only. Since she had a lot of experience, she yet avoided seeing him while searching for the perfect reason to escape from the room.
Krish understood her state and determined to tease her more. So, he didn't take either a step back or front. His intense gaze pierced her rolling eyeballs. He adored her cheeks, which had turned into crimson red.
"I... Dhrish!" Aradhika shouted as her eyes fell on their baby boy.
Krish got scared as he just heard Aradhika's shouting and turned to their baby in fear.
