"Ashur.....please......" Autumn whispered, tears streaming down her face. "Look, Autumn, I don't like people. There are no exceptions. So stop. Leave me alone." Ashur rasped, glaring at the poor girl sobbing at his feet. "I-I'm your f-friend!" Autumn sobbed.

Ashur ran a hand into his hair angrily. "I don't have friends." He said coldly before turning on his heel and walking away. His mind was racing with the days events. When Autumn had tried to stand up for Ashur, it resulted in her getting punched. Ashur, for some reason, couldn't stand that, so he finally decided to stop whatever "friendship" they had. It was pointless anyway. Ashur didn't like anyone.

Suddenly he heard footsteps behind him, and Ashur turned angrily to find a small boy of about five years old. Ashur blinked. The kid tugged at Ashur's sleeve, pulling him- no, leading him. For some absurd reason, Ashur found himself following the small boy. The boy vanished in a cloud of mist, but Ashur didn't stop walking. He followed him into the eery mist, his eyes now useless in the fog. The ground beneath his feet seemed to vanish, and was replaced by tough grass.

The mist cleared, and Ashur found himself in a savanna, and the small boy was standing near a clump of trees, pointing. Ashur looked toward the trees, and saw a group of silently yelling men shooting at a family of elephants. The littlest elephant got shot in the eye, and it staggered a few moments before getting shot once more in the head. It fell with a silent crash, shaking the ground.

The mother elephant tried running, but soon tripped and got killed by one of the men. The father, now the only elephant left, let out a silent scream before giving himself up; he didn't rebel, letting the men shoot him until he was murdered. Ashur watched the scene in horror, frightened by the men.

How can they be so cruel?!

Suddenly Ashur was tugged backwards, as if hooked onto a fishing pole. The savannah and the boy vanished, along with the mist, until Ashur opened his eyes and found that he was laying on the ground at the school. Autumn was knelt next to him, eyes shining with tears. Once she saw that he was awake, a look of relief took over her face.

"Ashur- I don't know what happened- I mean, you just passed out!- You were twitching..... Should I take you to the hospital or..?" She trailed off, seeing that Ashur was starting to get up. "I passed out? How long was I out?" He rasped. "Oh, I dunno, five minutes? You stopped breathing right before you woke up...." Ashur stared at her, bewildered. "I stopped breathing? Weird." Cautious not to mention the vision, Ashur stood and brushed himself off. Glancing down at Autumn, he add, "Honestly...you're too worried. I'm fine."

Autumn stood, wiping her face. "Don't do that again." She said before turning and stalking away. Ashur rolled his eyes and walked into one of the school buildings, distracted by the vision; What had it meant? Death. The word swam through Ashur's head like a shark. Death... Of course! Mankind kills...no....murders. Man murders. But why?
