SONG FOR THIS CHAPTER- DOES HE KNOW BY ONE DIRECTION

H A R R Y

Caroline and I don't speak to each other at all on the drive back to the castle. By the look on her face, I can tell that she's still disturbed by the incident before.

I've heard of Liam Payne, the Stockholm prince before. His face is always on the front cover of gossip tabloids and the headlines are all about how he's two faced. No one has ever seen his true colors other than Caroline, I guess. Or maybe, it is possible that she doesn't know his true identity either.

But Caroline marrying Prince Liam? What the hell, that's so messed up. The very thought of her walking down the aisle to him makes me want to hurl. She should have a choice. I don't know why this agitates me so much...probably because if she gets taken away to Stockholm, Mightera's grand plan will burn down to flames.

Looking through the side-view mirror, I see Caroline fighting back her tears. I understand that she doesn't want this either. Who would?

We finally stop in front of the tall, golden gates of the Courageous castle. The set of guards standing at the front see me and swing open the gates. I nod at them with a straight face and drive through successively. The car is parked in the large lot and I climb out. Making my way to the passenger side, I try to pry the door open for the princess but but she stops me right away.

"I can do it myself, you know." She bites at me, but I can't blame her.

Clearly, she's pissed off.

"Whatever you say, Princess." I chuckle and open the door for her anyway. She reluctantly stumbles out. My hand reaches for the pile of brown paper shopping bags in the backseat, but Caroline smacks it away from them.

"I told you I can do it!", she continues to insists but I shrug as though I couldn't care less. I leave her with the shopping bags.

"Whatever you say, Princess." Standing by the front entrance, I wait for her to bring the bags.

Caroline huffs; struggling to haul all the bags. As she readjusts her grip, a short black dress spills from out of the bag and onto the ground. Scowling, she reaches for it but I pick it up for her instead. "You can do it, huh?" I mock her with a teasing smirk. Caroline's eyebrows furrow deeper and abruptly she bursts out into tears.

This is completely unexpected so I am taken aback. "Woah. Sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry.", I awkwardly apologize, quite startled. Is this girl bipolar or what?

Caroline looks up at me through her eyelashes, mascara running down her porcelain skin. "N-No, I'm sorry for doing this at such a random time, oh god. It's just... I don't want to marry Liam!" She sniffles.

I don't know how to calm her down so I take the shopping bags away from her grip and think deeply- finally coming up with an idea. "Hey, how about we talk about this in the kitchen privately- Niall, you and I. Nesquik's on me.", I suggest with a cheeky grin.

Caroline looks up at me with quivering lips. I am relieved when they lift upward and form a trembling smile. She nods her head and so we walk through the front door of the castle side by side.

Niall and Caroline are sitting on the barstools of the kitchen island, waiting eagerly with silver spoons in their hands. Withdrawing three marble bowls from the cupboard, I grab the box of Nesquik I bought a few days earlier and scoop it into the bowls. Lastly, I pour in the cold milk and hand Niall and Caroline a bowl each.

The princess and I dig in right away, while Niall takes a sip of his espresso instead.

"So basically, what you're telling me is that the king and queen asked Prince Liam of Stockholm to marry you, and take you to Stockholm with him?" Niall recalls while thoughtfully stirring his drink.
