DEAD BODY REPORTED

"Red is gone, now?"

"'Fraid so, Pink. What was left of him was towards the back of storage."

The entire crew plus one murderous alien was gathered around the emergency table to exchange what information we had. If there was ever a place and time to start pickin' out potential leads, it was right here and right now.

Purp was the next one to speak, and he seemed to be in more distress over this whole ordeal more than anyone.

"Storage!? Oh, no, oh God, I was right across from there, I could've...If I'd gotten done just a little sooner I might've seen something, or...Or I might've been the one who got-"

"Take it easy, Purp. The more we know, the better we can nail the guy down...Does anybody remember where Red was last seen alive?"

Pink was the first to raise a hand.

"Pink. Go."

"Well, before the lights went out, he accompanied me to the cafeteria and we got ourselves a C-sir and Don Dew. After that, he said he had to grab the watering can from storage so he could take care of the plants, and asked me if I wanted to tag along for that too. I was about to say yes, but that was when the lights went off...And I guess that was the last I'd ever see of him."

"Shame too," Blue chimed in. "Guy's only been on the force for pushin' a year, and this happens?"

"That is a shame..."

I turned to face Blue.

"I haven't seen you around much, Blue. Where were you when the lights went out?"

"Argh, I was in the lab. Kept pressing the wrong button on the stupid reactor start-up."

Pink seemed to cringe at the mere mention of the task name.

"Oof, I've been there myself. It's a pain, it is."

"Black. Where were you?"

"Well, after I finished in the hallway, I started heading towards the greenhouse to fix the wiring over there. Lights went down on my way there, but I caught sight of Green following Pink into the office when I turned and looked down the hall, so I decided to let him fix the issue."

"Yeah, I met them both in there...Green. Can you confirm that he was in the greenhouse?"

He tensed up a bit, looked back at Black, then at Pink again, then finally gave his answer in the form of a barely discernible nod.

"Guess that part is sorted out, then."

"Hmm..."

It wasn't until then that I noticed Black eyein' me up.

"Brown. What about you?"

"Right before the blackout, I'd gotten done measuring the weather. Purp was standing just across from me on the balcony; looked like he was clearing out the asteroids."

"And when the lights went out?"

"I started makin' my way over to the office to fix the lights. Like I said, I found Pink and Green already there, so I kept an eye on them while they were at it to make sure one didn't try to do somethin' bad to the other.

I was happy to hear Pink confirm my claim.

"Yes, we saw her behind us when the lights came back on."
