thought's raced through out my mind as we drove to santa monica, soobin hummed softly to cherry by harry styles as we rode around. I watched as the city passed us by, the beach slowly coming into view. were we going to kiss back there?
"hey, you okay? you keep spacing out" soobin's voice sounded as concerned as when I accidentally dropped coffee on myself last week, that voice. why is it suddenly so different?...more loving than before.
"yeah im fine, binnie lets go before the sunsets!" I tried to smile brightly but I knew he could see through that lie, soobin shrugged it off returning a more genuine smile as we got out of the car, we held hands as walked to the coast line, the sand sinking between our toes.
"y'know, bubs you've been quiet since we left the apartment. penny for your thoughts?" soobin paused in his steps, causing me to stop as he twirled me around to face him, holding up a penny.
I couldn't help but to smile, he's such a dork. sighing before meeting his eyes, the golden tint from the sun hitting him perfectly. my breath hitched as I tried to speak.
"uh...well what would've happened earlier if leilani never spoke up earlier?" I questioned the boy, watching as his eyes widened, before a small smirk fell onto his lips.
"I wouldn't have gotten the chance to do this" soobin grinned wildly as I felt my body get lifted from off the sand. well thats one way to ignore my question.
I couldn't help but to giggle as he ran, I watched as the cars got further and further away from us before a cold sensation splashed on my butt.
this idiot dropped me in the water.
"oh you're gonna get it" I jokingly threatened the boy, watching as he panicked trying to get away but, I was too fast as I pulled him into a nice hug, making sure to get his clothes wet.
"y/n" soobin whined, him still hugging me back. soobin turned our bodies sideways so that we could see the sunset, still clinging together while watching the sight.
"its so pretty" I sighed, it truly was beautiful the way that the sky mixed soft pinks with orange and dark magentas in order to get to its darker self.
"hold on ... stand right here and watch the sunset" soobin and let go of me, I was a little cold considering the fact that his body heat helped me to warm me up.
"but why?" I tried to turn back to the boy but he just shh'd me and turned me back. well that wasn't very 'bubs, I love you' of him.
I watched as the sky slowly contrasted, hearing the sound of a camera flash caught my attention as I looked back to see soobin focusing on getting the right angle, I giggled a bit not gonna lie. I mean look at him. he's so cute trying to focus- wait no ... not cute. you didn't read that.
"aw bubs you look so cute here!" he gushed over my picture, my heart couldn't help but to swell at his words. so he thinks Im cute?

"bubs?" soobin looked up at me snatching me out my weird ass thoughts, he titled his head to the side reminding me of theodore just as a waved knocked into my back.
im not going lie, yes I screamed and no, I am not going to talk about it.
"race ya to the car" soobin looked down at me a little due to my height, it's not like I'm 4'11.. I'm 5'5 which is the normal height for women my age but, that mothefu- sorry I forgot that there may be kids reading... anyways that dork is 6'0.
soobins long legs obviously helped him win the race, it definitely wasn't the fact that I tripped trying to run out of the water.
"aw bubs, you're still slow" soobin teased me as I took my hair out of its bun causing him to gasp. "if you were just going to undo my hard work then you shouldn't have let me do it" he pretended like he was hurt as I jokingly slapped his shoulder.
"shut up, binnie..." I laughed a little, putting my phone on to its car charger connecting to apple carplay as he started up my car.
"y'know some people are going to think we hate each other if you keep telling me to shut up" soobin and I laughed until kiss the boy played on the speakers of the car, our laughter quickly died down as I changed the song to blinding lights by the weekend.
"so, about earlier when mom said those things about a boyfriend. do you actually have one? is that why you didn't actually wake me up?" soobin looked over at me as we pulled into the in-n-out drivethru, I couldn't tell if he was serious or not so I laughed, I mean does it look like I have a boyfriend?
"soob come on dude, lets be real" I cackled at thought of what he implied.
"hey! you're a pretty girl, I don't know If you actually are taken or not"soobin tried to defend himself but I simply laughed harder.
"soobin if you wanted me to cuddle with you last night just say that" I teased the boy as he rolled his eyes, ordering our food when we reached the window.
"if I wanted you to cuddle with me, I would've just came into your room in the middle of the night and did so as usual. don't get your hopes up, princess" soobin smirked at me as I rolled my eyes.
the eye roll was me bluffing because HOLY CRAP WHAT IS HAPPENING INSIDE MY STOMACH-
"just remember to let me know whenever you get a boyfriend, I don't want you to forget about me" soobin halfway smiled at me, he did it again. that look, why is he looking at me like that?
"soob... if I was getting railed in our apartment you'll be the first to know" I lightheartedly joked as a I cupped his face with my left hand staring into his eyes.
"you made me loose my appetite, y/n"
"I love you too binnie"
