Asher's POV
I woke up to hear a voice calling my name.
"Asher! Wake up!"
Then I felt water completely douse me.
"DAD!"
I shot up and wiped some now soaked hair out of my face and glared at my dad standing there with his wand in hand, smirking at me.
"What? You weren't getting up and I've been trying to get you up for half an hour," he said, waving his wand to dry me. "It's twenty past nine, so I'd think about getting up if you want to have time go get yourself sorted."
"Alright, I'm getting up." I grumbled, Dad annoys me sometimes, but he's all I have, and I'm all he has. We tend to stay away from people due to Dad's lycanthropy, but I was fine with that, and people didn't really approach me often due to the act that I pushed everyone away in Muggle school. Although, there was one little girl I met, couple years under me, that was really interested in reading and learning and was bullied for it (she was called names and sometimes, although not often, they physically hit and kicked her sometimes) so I helped her out a few times, I don't think I'll see her again though, since it was a Muggle school. I don't want to get my hopes up, but she was a sweet and kind girl who has potential to do well. Then I remembered that it's September 1st 1989! It's my first time going to Hogwarts and I'm slightly nervous about what's to come, but I know I'm going to pull some pranks. Dad said I shouldn't worry as I have control over changing into a wolf during the full moon as I keep a human mind when I transform. I grabbed some clothes from my drawer and wardrobe and walked into the bathroom to take a shower.
After my shower, I got out and got dressed and headed downstairs to have breakfast.
(A/N: I'm just adding the pictures of his outfits from time to time so you can get a basic idea of his style/personality)"Thanks," I said, through a mouthful of food.
"No problem," Dad said, sipping on his coffee. "You excited?"
"Yeah, kinda nervous though."
"You will be, I'd be surprised if you weren't even just a bit nervous."
"Were Prongs and Padfoot nervous?" I asked.
"Slightly, they were mostly quite cocky though," he said, smiling at the memories.
I smiled as well and stood up, picking up my plate, taking it to the sink and putting into the sink.I headed back upstairs to my room to make sure I had everything ready in my trunk. I put a couple of books into my trunk. I also put in a stuffed wolf, stag and dog that I've had since I was one into the trunk, shut it and dragged it downstairs and placed it by the door. I know it's kind of childish, being 11 and all, but the the stuffed animals hold a lot of significance to me and I have part of Prongs, Padfoot and Dad with me at all times. I then headed back to my room and picked up my bag (which had some money in it for snacks in the train, my robes and a couple of books) and my owl cage, which contained my owl, Shadow, a pitch black owl with bright green eyes. I picked this owl because it reminded me of someone I knew when I was about two or three, I could place who it was though. I named him Shadow because his feathers are so dark like a shadow.
It was half ten by the time me and Dad were completely ready to go, so Dad took my trunk, I grabbed Shadow's cage and we apparated to Platform 9 and 3/4. I got my trunk and Shadow's cage onto the train and then went back to Dad, who was waiting to say goodbye.
"Dad, do you think I'll find many friends?" I asked, looking at the ground sadly, I was thinking about the wolfish part of me, worrying about what affect that'll have on me making friends.
"Of course you will. You'll have a group of friends that you're closest with, but you'll have plenty of friends outside of your life with that group of friends."
"Really?"
"Yep, I didn't think I'd make any friends, but then Padfoot, Prongs, Luna and Wormtail came along and I made more and more friends, but I always stuck with them to the end."
"Okay, I'm still nervous about what house I'm going to be in..."
"I'm still going to love you no matter what house you're in because you're still my son Cub," Dad said, making me smile. "You'll be an amazing person, no matter your house. Now get on that train before it fills up, otherwise you won't be able to find a compartment to yourself."
"Okay Dad." I said as we walked closer to the train. He kissed my forehead and gently pushed me towards the train.
"I love you Cub." Dad said over the noise of the train and the chatter of families. "And don't forget to write!"
"I love you too Dad!" I yelled, standing in the train doorway. "I'll write soon!"
