When Levi awoke the next morning, (f/n) was still sleeping peacefully, tucked into his chest. The smallest smile curled her lips, as if even in her slumber, she was glad to be with him. Some of her (h/c) hair had fallen over her eyes, and Levi gently brushed it back, careful not to disturb her.
He marveled at how a terrifying Demon General of Hell could look also so adorable, under the right circumstances. And his heart warmed at the knowledge that this was only the first of many mornings that he would get to wake up like this – wake up to (f/n)'s comforting presence at his side. Hanji had been right – revenge and hatred didn't make him happy. But this...this definitely did.
Levi watched as (f/n)'s eyelids fluttered. She gave a tiny, contended hum, then slid her ruby irises up to meet his grey-blue ones. Her smile grew.
"Good morning," she purred, her voice gravelly from sleep.
"Good morning," he murmured back, leaning down to place a soft peck on her forehead.
However, that wasn't enough for (f/n), and a moment later, her lips were on his. Levi responded eagerly, forgetting their morning breath, forgetting his shyness. He only wanted to worship the beautiful creature in his arms. And as always, her touches electrified his body in the best way.
"How do you do that?" Levi asked when they finally pulled apart, breathless and panting.
"Do what?" (f/n) asked, a ghost of a sly smirk on her face. "Kiss you?"
"No..." he replied, feeling his typical shyness return with the heat that rushed to his cheeks. "I mean...kind of. When you kiss me, it just...makes me feel...a lot. Especially the first time. I..." He stopped, at a loss for how to describe the sensation.
Her expression turned remorseful. "Oh. Well, the first time, I...I was using my powers," she admitted hesitantly. "We of the Seven have the ability to bring humans' emotions to the surface, even ones that they've buried deep down, or ones that they wouldn't normally act on. It's linked to our own emotions, and since the Seven are so consumed by the emotion that we're named for, that's typically the only one we would be able to connect with and bring out in humans. However, when I made that deal with you...even though I was still in a dark place...I felt hope, and I think that bit of humanity opened the door for me to connect with your other emotions. I'm guessing that's what you felt. I'm sorry."
Levi gently tilted her chin up so that she would look at him. "You don't have to be sorry," he murmured. "I really don't blame you for any of it."
She gave him a small, grateful smile in return for his words.
He smiled back. "So, that was the only time? Everything else was...me?" he asked, feeling the blush on his cheeks darken.
She nodded earnestly. "I haven't tried to influence your emotions since then. I promise."
"I believe you," he replied, stroking her cheek, wanting to reassure her. "It's just...it's a new thing for me. That's all."
(F/n) giggled. "Well, is it at least enjoyable?"
His face had become so hot that he was certain it must be as red as her eyes. "Y-y-yes," he replied in a small, shy voice.
Her grin morphed into a wicked smirk, and she leaned in close, her lips barely brushing his as she purred, "In that case...may I kiss you again?"
Levi's heart leapt into his throat. "Yes," he breathed, willing to do anything and everything for that sinful voice.
As before, the brush of (f/n)'s lips flooded him with electricity from head to toe. Every single one of his finely-tuned Ackerman instincts zeroed in on her – on her perfect body above his, on how strong yet delicate she felt in his arms, and on the breathtaking combination of passion and love that she laced into every touch. It was overwhelming, yet he never wanted it to end.
