The next day went by very, very quickly. It was like the fast forward button on my life's remote was being pushed over and over again. My mind was somewhere else, but the world was still ticking by, as if my mind were on another planet than my body. My eyes were watching myself go through my daily routine from another dimension. I woke up early, to the sound of the birds chirping and my alarm clock blaring. When I opened my window, I could see the little bit of sunlight peeking through the winter clouds. I stretched out my body, yawning and slowly waking up. Then I got a shower and packed my lunch and my soccer equipment up. I ate some cinnamon toast then ran out the door. My father drove me to school in his black, shiny, beautiful Pagani Huayra that he bought and shipped to our house when he was away on some kind of business trip. I entered the big beautiful double doors of Saint Tyraen high school to find people rushing around just to make sure they get to class on time and people that just stood there waiting for the bell to ring just to say they skipped class. Everything around me felt like it was moving the speed of light. I couldn't put my finger on it, but something definitely felt different. I had to politely push away tons of people who wanted small talk to get to my locker. I put my stuff in my locker then before I knew it, it was lunch time. It had only been a few weeks that I'd been going out with Claire. So I made the decision to end the relationship just now. It was boring and pointless and took up my time."Hey Claire, look we've gotta talk about something." I muttered to Claire.
"Oh yeah, I knew this was coming." She informed me.
"Thank goodness, that makes this a lot easier." I said in an apologetic tone. "It looks like our relationship's come to an end. I have a ton of school work that I'm really caught up in and soccer all the time, I just don't have the time to be a gentleman that can court a wonderful girl like you."
"Ok." She answered. Just like that, the fastest break up ever. Then she walked away. Thank goodness. Lunch went by in a flash and then BOOM! Everything slowed down a little bit.
Hey, I was just listening to an interesting little conversation on the roof. Robin Hood announced in my head. Yes, like, THE Robin Hood. The one that shot bull's-eyes at rich men's faces and gave their money to those less fortunate. I was absolutely shocked that he was actually a hero. A pretty comical hero at that.
Cool. I responded. Did you buy a new dress too?
No, seriously! He exclaimed. I wouldn't want to wear any of the horrid apparel that you weirdos wear nowadays anyway. But I have a question for you.
Hit me. I chirped.
OK! How many servants do you think live around here?
Probably at least one. I guessed
You didn't study very well for this test, he complained there's three that I know of.
Do you know who, or what they are? I questioned. Is it Saber, 'cuz that would just be just be whole bunch of fun.
Surely you jest, of course I know. He boasted One is a caster, one is a rider, and the other is yet to be revealed.
How'd you get all of this out of a single conversation? I asked
WELL, it's obvious that some people don't know how to play this game. He chuckled. The rider straight up announced "I AM JOANN OF ARC" I started laughing.
What a way to win, tell everyone your secrets. I joked. But how do you know that she is a rider?
Her sword skills were atrocious that's why. She couldn't even keep her balance against some other master. She's too stupid to be an assassin, and she didn't have a lance. He explained.
