Ever since I was four years old, I always loved the beautiful game. Otherwise known as futbol, or soccer. It was a huge passion of mine, where I met friends and trainers. It was almost as if I lived a normal life, without the anchor that always weighed on my mind.
My friend Halen flicked the ball to me back to the midfield. It was gym class too, so why not have some fun? I beat the first defender with an outside cut, drew the other two defenders and then tapped it through thier legs. I heard Halen tell something. I looked up, he was running to the goal. So I launched the ball toward him. He looked pretty impressive then, he jumped in the air to kick the ball, making contact and putting it into the net. The gym teacher rounded us up then. He gave us his usual speech about hard work then, but I decided not to listen, and instead to make my way over to Claire. A.K.A. my beautiful beyond limits girlfriend. She has light brown hair down to just above shoulders and green eyes tht always catch my glance.
She was with ur her "girlfriends" (ugh) so when I walked over they all smiled at her and did their little wierd things tht I didn't understand. "Hey there beautiful" her smile went up immediately.
"Are you free this weekend?" She blurted out. I thought about tht a little. I couldn't really tell her what I had planned, but I also couldn't tell her I was busy with no reason for it.
"Sure." I replied with a smile "I'll make time for you. What did you have planned?"
"uh...I don't really know." She stated with as laugh.
"Aww aren't you too are so cute?" one of her friends blurted out.
"Well, duh, look at him" another one said. I was really just a dork, but for some reason I got a ton of attention from girls.
"Your really good at soccer" her friend Cassidy said. Cassidy was actually pretty hot...but not even close to the one next to me.
"Only when this girl is watching" I draped my arm around Claire. I had eye contact with Halen across the room and smiled.
"Psh" Claire muttered. "Your such a liar."I kinda chuckled.
"Well, see ya." I said.I met up with Halen in the locker room.
"Dude chill it out with the charm factor. Your gonna have a harem at this point." I laughed.
"Nah I'm not really feelin that kinda life." The only person that I knew would use the word harem is my good ole buddy Halen. "And did I see u hittin it up with Olivia and Kourtney over there?" I chirped with a super animated, exaggerated wink.
"Oh please, this is why I hate this school. All the girls are sluts and most of the guys have as many IQ points as Leonardo DiCaprio has Grammies." He spat. I chuckled at his unusual reference.
Woah, woah, woah, even those pretty girls you hang out with?" I pressed.
"Okay, fair enough, not all the girls but most of them. And trust me, they're not interested in me."
"Well what makes you say that?" I wondered why he never talks about either of them very romantically.
"Just trust me." he replied. Our school was Saint Tyraen high school. The place where the rich go to get Cred for college. Everyone here was rich, I guess I am too, but it certainly doesn't feel like it.when I got to the main lobby almost everyone was already gone. A few guys that we're leaving said Wasup and high-fived me on their way out. But today, I didn't have time to go chill with people at mcdonalds or go to the weight room. I had a job to do. A war was about to start, and I needed to prepare.
My limousine arrived at the entrance of the school. I hopped down the concrete stairs with haste. My grandfather greeted me with a stone cold face. He opened the car door and ushered me in without a word. I hopped in, and found my Father starring at me in the seat across from me. He was a strong willed practical man, dark brown eyes and black hair. He was dressed in a nice tuxedo, with a black tie to match.
"How was your day?" He asked.
"Same old same old." I described. "What did you do today?"
"I had to go to a stupid meeting." He complained. The atmosphere broke down just then, as his expression became a mystery behind his poker face. "I have the room ready, just remember to stay relaxed. Never lose your focus." I nodded. We spent the rest of the ride in silence. A tense air was forming, like the suspense before a climax. The car came to a slow stop. We got out of the limo, and headed up to the entrance to the Trevalyn manor. White columns and a dark blue door, the colors of my family. I opened the door with a creak, my father and gramps behind me. The gem like walls were set aglow by the candlelight. We walked down the hallways until we reached the room tht was modified for me to use. I set a few more wards around the room before I went in, just in case. Gramps stood on the other side of the door, with my father standing behind him.
"Are you ready? You can't go back after you complete the ritual." Gramps warned. I knew this very well, and I fully intended to commit to this war. And I was going to put an END to it.
"I'm ready." I responded.
