✨Y1* "The Potions Mess"

A/N- Heyyy. Okay so i actually changed some things up.. I'm going to start from the beginning as in year one, complete that, move onto year two and so on!

You wake up the next morning to the sound of your owl Mila (m-ih-la) hooting outside your dormitory window.

You open your eyes while yawning until you get flashbacks of the day before and where you are.
As you remember your at Hogwarts you shoot out of bed and look around the dormitory to see everyone still asleep. It's 5:00 a.m in the morning.

You tiptoe to the window next to your four poster bed and open it lightly to take a letter out of Mila's beak and take her inside.

You set her on the desk feeding her some treats before she heads into her cage to nap.

You open the note to reveal it is from Mum. Inside it reads,

"To: Y/N Clearwater, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Gryffindor Common Room, Girls dormitories number 4.

"Hello my sweet blossom y/n, it's your mother writing here. Professor Mcgonagall wrote to the parents last night to inform them about the houses their children were sorted into. My dear darling, following after me in Gryffindor. I couldn't be more proud of you dear! I left you some galleons as I hear your going to Hogsmeade with your clsssmates in a few months. As the time comes sooner i will send you my acceptance letter to allow you to go for you to hand to Mcgonagall.

I love you darling, Lots of love.

You fold the letter up and take out the galleons safely and store them into a drawer of your desk along with your mothers note.

You decide to just get up and ready for breakfast at 7:00. You make your four poster nice and tidy. Afterwards you grab your uniform and robes off the bottom of your bed and make your way to the bathroom to change.

Once you've changed you  finish getting ready and pack your books up into your satchel bag.

Hermione starts to stir out of bed with excitement.

"Good morning!" You both speak to eachother before busting into a fit of giggles.

She begins to get ready and pack her bag before breakfast starts.

You both leave the common room alongside Alica Spinet and Lavender Brown, your roommates.

You leave the dormitory to see the common room empty, but you can hear noise from downstairs in the boys dormitories.

You all leave the common room separately as Lavender meets Parvati and they walk together, while alicia is alongside a beautiful Ravenclaw first year Cho Chang.

You and Hermione stick together, almost getting lost down the moving staircase, but Percy Weasley, the Gryffindor house prefect helps you both manage.

As you arrive at the Great Hall you see it's busting with excitement, chatter and glory.

You and Hermione take a seat next to eachother at the Gryffindor table as you get flashbacks from yesterday, when you first walked over here. You feel so welcome.

Harry and Ron walk in as they both smile at you, but Harry had the biggest smile, also a little bit of blushing popped out and Hermione chuckled.

Harry was sitting  across from you and every other moment you would both look up and stare into each others eyes.

A few moments later, Dumbledore rises and stands in front of his speech area at top of the Great Hall.

"SILENCE!!!" He shouts amongst the crowd of chatter, leaving the whole hall quiet and many first years afraid.

"Welcome to the first breakfast of a new year at Hogwarts. Now we don't have much to say except four words.

"Let the feast.. Begin!"

And with that a huge breakfast buffet pops onto the tables.

You serve yourself some eggs and bacon, with buttered toast, orange juice and a bowl of fresh garden berries.

You immediately dig into your toast which is amazing with the hot butter melting into the toast.

After a lot of chatting with your friends about the day ahead of you, you all finish your breakfast and stand up.

Percy leads you all to the first class of the day, which appears to be potions, with Professor Snape.

"Alright first year Gryffindors follow me! This way! No Spinet this way to your left!" Percy shouts as he leads the way.

Once you all arrive you get paired with Lavender.

"Welcome to potions" Speaks a cold stern voice. "Today we will be learning about the Cure for boils potion. He speaks up.

"Could anyone tell me, what exactly is the Cure for Boils potion and name three ingredients used to make it?"

Hermiones's hand shot straight up but Snape ignored it, he began staring at Harry. Once he looked away Harry turned to you and began whisper complaining about how when he looked at him, his scar burned and ached for a moment.

"Potter, what is the Cure for Boils potion and what exactly is it brewed to do." He speaks coldly with the same cold expression on his face.

"I-i don't know sir.." Harry responds nervously.

"Ridiculous, what are three or at least one of the ingredients needed to successfully brew the potion?"

"Professor im not sure, this is only our first class."

"See Potter, clearly fame isn't everything.."
"Three most needed ingredients to brew the potion are horned slugs, snake fangs and porcupine quills, and the cure for boils potion is brewed to remove boils." The professor speaks.

The blonde boy with slicked back hair and slytherin robes immediately sniggers at his teachers response to Harry.

You shoot him a glare and he looks back at you eyeing you up and down and turning away with a frown of disgust on his face.

"What a great start to the first day" You think to yourself.
