It's been three days since Cormac went to see Meredith he was pretty busy with patients as he had been helping with the covid ones.

Cormac walk's into Meredith's room holding a bouquet of flower's in shades of pink and yellow. He walks over to the table by the window where her old flowers are. Cormac gently places the new flowers on the table so he can throw out the old ones and put new water in the cup. He didn't have a vase because they weren't allowed to bring anything in so he had to use a cup from the cafeteria that he had stolen. Cormac turns on the sink in the bathroom flicking his fingers in the water to make sure it's not to hot or cold, he fills up the cup half way looking at himself in the mirror. Her had a cut on his nose and a red out line around his face from his N95 mask. After he places the flowers in the cup he opens the blinds letting in some light. It was a gloomy sad day, clouds in the sky, it was raining on and off, but any outside light made the room feel just the smallest bit more happy. Meredith love's it when it rain's she say's it is calming. She is right, listening to the sound of water drops hit all the different objects around sounded like music. Cormac walks over to a chair next to Meredith and sits down holding her hand.

"Gabby the one you went to jail for because you used Ellis' name instead of the correct one... I resected another tumor from her abdomen today. Her cancer came back this time more extensive. I don't know what I'm going to do. If you were awake you would be saying it's okay and making light of the situation." Cormac is talking to Meredith as his pager goes off. His head drops in dreadful way. "Grey keep fighting... don't give up. I still have that whiskey in my office for when you get off the vent. I'm not drinking it without you." He says standing up to walk out of the room.

(Meredith)
Hayes doesn't know I can hear him. I hear everything he is saying I just can't say anything back. I want to go to the beach, I want to see Derek and George.

Don't wait for me. Go. Go find someone who makes you happy a Hayes I'm not going to make it out of this. Take care of Gabby, and your boy's they need you.

"What's going on?" Cormac yell's walking into Gabby's room. "She's coding." Bailey replies grabbing the defibrillator "charge 250... clear!" She yell's pressing the defibrillator on Gabby's chest. They all watch the monitor as the line grow's completely flat. The screeching sound of the monitor alarming she has flatlined grow's longer and louder. "Give me the pads!" Cormac order's grabbing them out of Bailey's hand's. Bailey back's up with her hands in the air defensively. "Charge 300..." Cormac shout's "I said charge- move out of my way." He continues to yell. Everyone looking at him like he has lost his mind. "She can't die. Not yet. She's eight. Her dad is at work!" He yell's charging the defibrillator to three-hundred "clear!" He shouts. "Doctor Hayes, we lost her." Bailey say's soft so she doesn't startle him. "No! I can save her. I have to save her!" Cormac presses the pad's to Gabby's bare skin once more. The monitor starts to beep steady. "I told you." He says letting go of the defibrillator letting it hang. Gabby shoots up looking around the room and coughs. She immediately puts her hand on her chest. "Hey Gabby, your chest is going to be sore for a little while but that's normal okay. I'm gonna call your dad." Cormac say's walking to the door everyone following behind him. He turns on his heels to face the nurses and doctor Bailey. "If I say to charge the defibrillator for my patient you do so. I am understood?" He says in a firm voice. They all give him a nod and slip past him.

"Doctor Hayes, this is my hospital. If I say we lost a patient we lost a patient. She very well could have brain damage-" Bailey start's to say looking up to Cormac "No. She very well could be dead because arrogant people like you decide to give up. I don't know how you run things here but in my book if a patient need's help we give it." Cormac interrupt's her then walk's away.

"You told Bailey off?" Jo swings the door to the attendings lounge open. I rub the back of my neck with my hand. "I didn't mean to. I was having a bad day." Cormac explains. Jo laughs "oh you are so in trouble." She says shaking her head. Cormac doesn't say anything. He walks to the window and looks out it as the soft snow falls effortlessly to the cold ground. "It's snowing?" Jo ask's excited before running to the window. Cormac nod's. "Mhm" he replies.

"Grey- Sn-" he sigh's "Snow is our thing. One of the first real conversations I had with her was outside in the snow..." Cormac says a smile grows on his lips as he tells Jo exactly what happened. "She was outside just standing there when I walked out. She said- she said hey I think and asked where I was going. 'Home to hug my boys, spoil them rotten just because they're alive.' I replied fixing my hat looking at her. Jo she looked beautiful, her eye's sparkling as the brightest of the moon and stars hit them at different times." Jo turns her body so she's in front of Cormac looking at him as he tells the story and how he felt. She smiles when he explains Meredith. "That night, I- I wanted to ask her out for drink's. I had been wanting to ask her out but wasn't sure where her and DeLuca stood. "Grey!" I yelled because she was walking away and I had to get her attention you know? "Doctor DeLuca, who is he to you?" I called she turned around to look at me and I swear I could have swept her off her feet with a kiss right then and there but I stood there looking into her eyes. "H-he's one of my first's. He's the first man I said I love you to after my husband." She had replied now standing closer to me. I nodded I wanted her to say he's a friend but she obviously had feelings for him." Cormac keeps telling his story looking out the window and at Jo. "The thing that caught my attention though Wilson is the fact that she said 'the first man I said I love you to' she didn't say she loved him. We went out separate ways." Cormac says looking down. Jo walks over to the couch behind them sitting down "you like her don't you?" Jo asks with a smile "I- I- I already shared too much." Cormac answers turning around to face her she nods seeing the smile on his face. "Mhm." She hum's he shakes his head and walks to the door. "Night Wilson." He says. "Night." She replies.
