Naina was heartily smiling as she had got back a really precious part of her life.. That is her childhood best friend - Sameer.
She knew him since they were toddlers, for the Aggarwals and Maheshwaris were greatly mingled up as families. Ever since Sameer's parents (his mother and foster father) separated, the three brothers along with their mother and Sunaina moved to Mumbai and Samaina lost contact with each other due to further circumstances. All these years have been really tough for both of them, a lot had changed along with which they lost each other's consistent support. The past really haunted both of them, but the present brought an ignition of hope, for which they were grateful.

The following night was sleepless for both the thumping hearts. Preeti had left already as she was supposed to be working the next day and Rohan went along to drop her. And after a huge lawful argument, it was finally decided that Naina will be staying inside the ward with Suman, for she was a little girl and needed the care of a mother-figure, though Sameer wasn't any lesser than both parents to her, but the actual reason was him being injured and Naina insisted him to take rest. As all the hustle bustle subsided and Naina and Suman paved their way to bed, Sameer headed on to the terrace. His inner turmoil wasn't ready to let him leave a sigh of relief, yet he calmed himself and settled down on a stool nearby.

Sameer's Voiceover :

Aaj itne saal baad Naina aur Preeti se milkar aisa laga jese vo purane Ahmedabad ke din wapis aa gye hain. Bs wahi chaar shabd jinse humari kahaani ki shuruaat huyi thi.. "Tum, mai, pyaar aur parivaar"
Sach mein Naina, waqt ka pahiya jab ghuumta hai na toh saare kirdaar wahi aakar wapis khade ho jaate hain, tabhi toh itne saal ek dusre ke bina guzaarne ke baad bhi, humare beech kaha kuch badla hai? Jo saare zakhm sabse chhupaata fir raha tha itne saalon se, wo aaj tumhare saamne aate hee maine ek khuli kitaab banakr tumhare samne rakh diye.
Par mujhe ab bhi samajh nahi aata ki, Yeh kyu zaruri hai ki humein humari saari khushiyon ki kimat chukani hoti hai?
Aaj tumse asal maayino me mulaqat huyi, par Wo bhi iss tarah Hospital mein, jaha meri Suman zindagi aur maut ke bich lad rahi thi!
Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai, Nanu please meri madad kijiye! Please Nanu, aaj aapke Sonu bete ko wakai mein aapki sabse zyada zarurat hai.
----------------------------

Here, Suman was fast asleep as the medicines helped a lot in that, but Naina was restless. She just couldn't comprehend the events of the day, that phone call - Suman's accident - her encounter with Sameer and his past - all of it was continuously capturing her head and she couldn't find anything real. Also, she missed her diary as she wanted to pour out a lot of things!

Naina's Voiceover :

Sameer, sirf ek shabd hai, par mere liye meri duniya. Har Wo pal Jo maine uske saath Ahmedabad mein bitaya hai, woh sab kuch aaj maano jese ek kahaani ki tarah meri aankho me chal rha tha. Vo humare parivaaron ka milna, saath waqt bitana, humari shaitaniyon se Sabka pareshan ho jaana, maano jese kal ki hee baat ho. Par nahi, is rishtey ko badle arsa ho chuka hai.
Tum aur mai ab is kahaani ke do alag alag hisse hain. Par Sach kahu toh, mohabbat toh tumse hamesha rahegi, izhaar kabhi kiya nahi aur na Kabhi kar paaungi yeh toh mai bakhoobi jaanti hu, par har chaahat ka mukaam shaadi ho, yeh zaruri toh nhi.
Tumne sahi kaha tha, mera Mumbai aane ka iklauta maksad sirf tum the. Par itne saalon tak ek hee sheher mein rehne k bavajud bhi, na hum kabhi mile aur na takraye. Ittefaaq hai ya kuch aur, pata nahi. Par us Din pehli baar jab Suman ko dekha, aur jab tum waha aaye, toh mujhe apni aankho par vishwas nahi hua. Kahi na kahi mujhe yakin tha ki wo tum hee ho, par koi itna kese badal sakta hai, yeh mai samajh nahi paa rahi thi. Aur tumhare saath Suman ko dekh kr muje aur ajeeb laga, esliye maine tumhe na pehchaanne ka faisla kiya. Sach kahu toh aakar seedha tumhe gale lagaana chahti thi, par majboor shayad hum dono hain. Bs bhagwan se ab yahi maangti hu ki aage humari kahani chahe Jo bhi rukh le, vo hum sabki bhalai k liye ho, khaas kr ke Suman ki. Is nanhi si jaan ki aankho mein aansu na mujhe bardash honge, aur naa hee tumhe.

------------------

She caressed Suman's hair and soon drifted off to sleep. While Sameer came back from the terrace, and peeped inside the ward to witness two angels embracing each other and sleeping comfortably. He decided not to disturb them, and went onto the couch kept in front of the ward. Soon, he fell asleep too.

Although, both of them were unaware of what the next morning had in store for them, yet they found themselves a bit relaxed in each other's presence.
