Character Profile: Kai Brooke

Now, I know a lot of you are wondering what a Bey Psychic is. To put it simply, a Bey Psychic, or a Bey Medium, is basically like a regular psychic medium, but instead of spirits and ghosts, they can sense the tie between the blader and the bey, as well as the bey's power, sentience and strength. I'll explain it a little more after Kai's profile.

If you don't know, I have a deep interest in the spiritual and paranormal side of things. I really wanted to incorporate it into this story, especially with how much the Blader Spirit plays a big role in the Metal Saga series and its sequel series, Shogun Steel.

Bey Psychics date back to when Beyblades were first being created. At first, their abilities and assets were very limited and not as powerful as they are today. But, whenever a psychic dies and a new one is born, the recently born one's powers are much more powerful than the former. Bey Psychics were normally commissioned by royal or wealthy families to help with their children's progress in training.

A Bey Psychic's abilities consists of, but are not limited to, sensing the power and untapped potential of a Bey or blader, sensing damage/pain of a Bey or Blader, feel a Bey's sentience or emotions and extreme empathy. They can also become extremely emotional if a Bey or its blader fades or dies.

Aside from their powers and history, Bey Psychics are also considered to be unnaturally alluring, no matter what gender they are or identify as. From unique facial features to mesmerizing eye colors, it can be very easy or very difficult to spot them. However, Bey Psychics tend not to flaunt over their physical appearance and prefer to not change anything about it, unless it's necessary for survival. It's even said that a Bey Psychic looks nothing like their parents when they are a teen or young adult.
