Chapter 16
This is what Persephone her wedding day would be like. Multiple people fussing over her dress and hair and shoes. But this was only her engagement announcement and she was sure Narcissa was seconds away from a heart attack.
"I didn't know you had this much hair." Minerva whispered as the ends were curled to fall down her back. It reached the lower end of her tail bone, but because she kept it up and out of Penelope's reach it was a hidden masterpiece.
"I haven't cut it in a while." Persephone confessed.
"That much is clear my dear." Minerva held her chin making her turn to face the front. Persephone sighed deeply fixating on the wall in front of you.
"I brought you a surprise." Andy walked through the door kicking it shut with her foot.
"My baby! Look at you." Persephone's smile lit up her face as daughter came into view. In a dress a similar color to her own, but paired for warmth. Andromeda stopped in front of her holding Penelope out to her.
"Look at you baby. You look so pretty." Persephone whispered, fixing the big green bow that had been placed on her head.
"I thought she was staying with the Weasley's tonight."
"They came as well." Andromeda replied. "But we wanted it to be a surprise." Persephone couldn't stop smiling at her daughter. The child's dress matched her own in color, but it was the child's tiredness that had her heart melting. Penelope was asleep with her head resting against Andromeda's arm.
"Oh I hope she didn't give Mrs. Weasley too much trouble." Persephone whispered, rubbing a hand over her daughter's cheek. "She's got teeth coming in. Hasn't been very happy lately."
"Molly said she's been lovely. Fell asleep as soon as she hit my arms." Andromeda smiled softly.
Persephone glanced up. Penelope only fell asleep that quickly with two people. Her and Bellatrix. It was closely related to their magic and how often they used it around her, simple calming spells. But the other Black sister's had magical signatures that were fairly close to Bellatrix's own.
"That's good." Persephone whispered, not taking her eyes off her daughter.
"How about you sit in the chair over there Andromeda." Minerva suggested. Persephone didn't really want them to leave.
"I need to talk to Bellatrix." Persephone said suddenly. Alexi, Narcissa, Andromeda and her aunt all looked at her as if she'd grown another head. "Right now."
"I'll...go get her." Alexi backed out of the door.
"What's wrong." Narcissa asked. Persephone held up her hand just as Bellatrix, who still wasn't dressed walked into the room closing the door.
"Bellatrix..." Persephone growled lowly.
"Oh shit." Bellatrix groaned. "I knew I forgot something."
"The ring?" Andromeda asked.
"You don't have a ring?" Narcissa shrieked.
"I'm not worried about a ring right now." Persephone whispered. "Why do magical signatures feel the same?" Persephone asked.
The three sisters looked wide-eyed between each other. Not speaking, just looking at one another.
"Bellatrix you bumbling buffoon." Minerva sighed. "You didn't tell her?"
"It slipped my mind."
"It slipped your mind!" Narcissa voice raised. "You shouldn't have asked her to marry you if she didn't know."
