I woke up with an aching pain all over my body, I groan. I then start coughing nonstop, before rolling over and vomiting. "Ah, what the fuck was that?"

Javi and Clem were talking, but looked my way when I started speaking. "Oh god y/n I am so sorry, that was my fault." He rushes over to me and helps me up. "Eh no worries, just felt like a slap of the face." That was a lie because when I tried standing up right and walking my body had other plans.

I fell forward, I squeezed my eyes shut ready for the pain and contact of the floor. When I didn't feel anything I opened my eyes and saw myself on top of Javi. He must've tried to help me stop falling but in the process he fell and broke my fall.

"Oh my god Javi are you okay? I'm so sorry." I get off of him and stand up slowly, the best that I can. He sits up and starts scratching the back of his head. "First I was the one sorry and now you are, let's just call it even."

I smile and nod my head as a response. His face completely fell as he remembered what happen, "oh god. Mariana." He stands up and looks over at her body. "I'm guessing by the fact I'm still alive, they got away?" Clem nodded her head at me before looking over at Marianas body with Javi.

Javi slowly walks over to Mariana and crouches beside her, take her hand into his. "I already dug a grave for her."

"Thank you."

"I'm really sorry Javi, I should've stayed behind and stayed watch. She seemed really sweet, I wish I would've gotten to know her." I look down at the floor. Javi smiles a reassuring smile my way, "it's not your fault, it's those assholes fault. We're gonna make them pay."

"I'm with you Javi, I'll stay with you until we kill every one of those son of a bitches." He nods his head, " and I guess I'll stay, until you give me a working ride." Javi chuckles, "thank you guys."

Javi picked Mariana up and Clem started showing him where she dug the grave, I followed close behind.

Once we get to the hole Javi puts his head down and steps into the hole. He lays Mariana down and moved her hands into a resting position on her stomach. He got out the hole and looked down at her, "You deserve so much better than this." He pauses as some tears come down his face, he wipes them as he continues.

"Fuck. It wasn't supposed to go like this." He walks over and picks up the shovel. "Javi...thank you for staying. I think you probably saved my life. You too y/n." I smile back at her quickly before looking at Javi.

He puts the shovel down when she says this and looks away from her shaking his head. "I couldn't leave you alone."

"That's because you're a good man."

"Not good enough to save her." I looked to my left and spotted something, I went over to go pick it up.

"You bought your people time, though. That counts for something." He then grabs the shovel again. "Wait!" I run over to him and show him what I've got. Beautiful white flowers that were growing in the field nearby. He smiles at them and nods his head, I head over to Marianas body and put the flowers in her hand.

"Hang on a sec." Javi put his hand into his back pocket and pulled out Marianas player. "She carried this around for years." He looks over to me and hands me the player since I'm already beside her. I grab it gently from this hand and put it in her hands along with the flowers.

I backed away and out of the hole, nodding toward Javi that he was good to go. He started covering her up with dirt. "I'm...I'm sorry I never found you those candy bars." He put more dirt on her.

"You deserved so much more life." More dirt went on top of her, now covering her face and stomach. "You should've been the one burying me...someday. Some day far away." He then filled up the hole completely. We stood there and looked down at the ground, having a moment of silence. Clem broke it, "you did everything you possibly—"
