"Nothing....!" Jack replied sadly after not getting full details from the receptionist.
"What do we do now!?" Green was worried.
"Leave it to me.....!" Tong's tone sounded serious . I turned to look at him. He was really serious.
"What do u mean 'leave it to you'?!" I asked him.
"I know my ways Mew....I need to track them so as to get their direction" He spoke while facing each one of us.
"But how?!" Jack wondered.
"First...By knowing how the hell started...!" He spoke while facing me.
I started narrating all that happened ever since dad arrived in the house today morning and how it ended up with Gulf disappearance in the hospital .
"What do u mean by saying Gulf fainted after seeing your dad? " Green asked.
"Does this suppose to mean that your dad has something to do with Gulf's disappearance maybe?" Jack asked.
"And if yes....Why?" Tong asked.
"That's the question!Why?...I have to find out what's going on behind my back!" I told them. "Maybe there's something I'm not aware of.... " I added. The all agreed.
After the long talks , Jack,Tong and Green agreed to find Gulf while I had to find out what my father is hiding from me. My first point was going back to the mansion. I headed straight to his room but it was locked with a "code", just imagine! A code just to lock his room..This felt suspicious.
I went back downstairs to his study room. It was so quiet and everything was neatly arranged. I passed across each shelf just to find old books and magazines portraying lost kids with their parents. I read some but they weren't relevant to me at that time. I was looking at several books and one book caught my eye..It was so big and black in colour. I held to lift it up but instead, it tilted ...exposing a red button. Without a warning, I pressed that button and the shelf moved sideways ...I almost died in shock...
"I thought these things only existed in movies!" I was so surprised. I slowly walked inside that secret private room . It was kinda dark and maps traced to different parts of the world were scattered everywhere.
"Is dad a captain or something ?!" I asked myself...Different photographs of lost kids, parents and teenagers were pinned on the board hanging on the wall..
"Is he a Detective too? Why so many lost people here!?". Several magazines were circled with red and black circles. Everything in that room portrayed things that I couldn't understand. What caught my whole attention was a picture of my mom with another man in one frame. Its a wedding photo but the man standing next to her isn't the dad that I currently know.
"Who is this man?" I asked myself. The face of that man was crossed with a red maker so I couldn't see his face clearly. I unpinned that photo. My mom looked fresh so I knew it was a long time ago photo . The other photo consisted of my mom together with another woman who seemed pregnant. Below it was a photo of a boy attached to it. He looked familiar but I couldn't remember anything.
