I turn, probably every single time to take a look at Shree, who just switched from one hairstyle to another. She finally decides to stick with a simple side ponytail. She says she looks simple. To me she looks exquisite. Her hair smells of the same honey shampoo and her skin emits the sacred scent of sandal.

Her soft beautiful hair falls on to one side of her like a cascading waterfall. It's neatly pinned back so that her delicate jawline and the gentle curve of her slender neck are exposed to me.

She looks out the window with the same fascination that she has. I switch on the radio and switch to the Telugu radio station.

"I love this song!" She remarks as her favourite song Pilla Raa starts to play.

I know it's your favourite song, darling. You sing it every freaking time.

"Mine too, you know." I say and she smiles.

"Have you seen the movie?" She asks as she turns to me. "It's a fucking stupid movie. I mean it. It's a fucking movie. But I love the songs. This one and-"

"Adire Hrudayam." I finish her sentence. She looks at me in wonder.

"How do you know that song? Have you watched the movie?"

"Not exactly. Spotify recommendations." I mumble. "It's a good song."

"I agree." She says. "It's so soulful and pleasing despite the sexual innuendos on the video!"

I nod. That song brings me good memories of you and me. It's the song to which we made love on several occasions. Shree smiles at me. It's the same beautiful bewitching smile she smiles at me every night, as she stands on the threshold of the bathroom door in Elysium, wearing a beautiful delicate lingerie under the satin robe.

It's been a weird day. Everything has changed. Everything is different. Except her - she hasn't changed a bit. Except that she's a tad bit chubby - I like it.

"We have a lot in common, Mr Singh." She says.

"You have no idea!" I say as I pull over by the restaurant.

Upstairs on the mezzanine, the young host leads us the booth I've booked for us. I take her hand, and lead her to our booth.

"What do you like to drink?" I ask. "Red wine?"

She nods.

"Oysters with Thai dressing and some mutton samosas for me." I say looking at the waiter. "She'll have some chicken nuggets with red pepper cashew pesto and some rice paper rolls."

She raises an eyebrow.

"Trust me, you'll thank me for it." After all, it's the frequent entrée order whenever we visit this restaurant.

"And the main course, sir?" The waiter asks.

"I'll have what you're having, please." Shree whispers to me with a smile.

"Two Tom Yum Noodles, would do." I say and notice her smiling widely. "And some devilled eggs."

"I love Tom Yum Noodles!" She whispers with a big smile.

"So are you single?" She asks after taking a bite of the chicken nuggets.

"Divorced." I say. Yes, I divorced and forgot about Siya the moment I saw you.
