Steve gets to experience things from a new point of view, when his nephew Oscar comes to visit.

-------

Oscar was excited, for his mother, Susanne, was bring him to visit his Uncle Steve, and his Aunt Diana, and their dog, Rex.

Oscar was going to spend the day with his Uncle Steve, and Rex, whilst Susanne and Diana both went to their fashion design classes.

"You be good for Steve whilst we're away." Susanne said to Oscar. "Yes, mum." Oscar said.

"And Stevie," Diana said, "Make sure Rex gets his daily exercise." Diana told him.

"Lunch is in the fridge; we'll be back by 2:30pm." Susanne said.

Steve waved goodbye to them, and off the women went.

-----

Steve and Oscar had fun, playing musical instruments in the greenhouse - Steve strummed his guitar, which he called Bella, and Oscar played makeshift drums made from plastic and cardboard boxes.

Sometime later, they had their lunch - A ham and mushroom pizza, and sweet potato fries.

After lunch, Rex barked loudly, which Oscar immediately realized that Rex needed his hour-long exercise. "May I take Rex into the garden, Uncle Steve?" he asked.

"OK, but make sure to stay in the garden, and don't be outside too long." Steve told his nephew. "I'll be in my den if you need me."

Oscar took Rex out into the back garden.

Steve walked into his den, sat on his chair and strummed Bella for a little while. Afterward, he put his guitar back in its rack, and he lay back in his chair, and had a short nap.

After his short nap, it was then he noticed something.

Something funny, but not funny as in 'ha-ha'; but as in 'weird', and/or 'odd'.

"That's odd." Steve said, staring at his chair, which, somehow or other, seemed to be slightly bigger than usual. "I don't remember my chair being this big."

It was true; his chair was slightly bigger, for his feet were no longer touching the floor. He got off his chair, and stared around his den, in surprise. "In fact," he said, "I don't remember everything in my den being this big."

To Steve, everything in his den did seem bigger than usual. Even his guitar, on its rack, seemed bigger too.

"Huh." Steve said, eyeing his Hawaiian shirt, which, like everything in the room, seemed bigger than usual. "This is very strange. Even my favourite Hawaiian shirt is bigger than usual."

But no, it wasn't just his Hawaiian shirt that seemed bigger; his shorts seemed bigger on the legs, and his feet seemed to knock around in his slip-on shoes [he wasn't wearing socks on his feet at the time].

Steve scratched his head, and stroked his stubbly chin. What was up with him?

Steve pulled himself up onto his chair, and to his shock, his slip-on shoes suddenly fell right off his feet!

Steve was beside himself. "Well, blow me down!" he exclaimed. "My shoes fell off my feet!"

He jumped off the chair again, and stared at his fallen slip-on shoes.

Upon putting his feet into them, it was all too clear they didn't fit in them anymore.

"Guess I'm goin' barefooted for a bit." He said as he lifted his right foot up, and wriggled his toes.
