Oscar learns something real surprising about his Uncle Austin - something involving animals.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oscar was excited, for his mother, Susanne, was bring him to visit his Uncle Austin, who lived on the grander estates of his neighbourhood, right at the end.

"It's so great that I'm getting to see Uncle Austin, following his expedition to the jungle." Oscar said.

"I know." Susanne said, "It's amazing to see you're gonna meet my brother who's an amazing traveller."

Her car stopped outside the path to Uncle Austin's house. "You be good for Uncle Austin whilst I'm out." Susanne said to Oscar. "Yes, mum." Oscar said.

Susanne drove off, and Oscar waved goodbye. Then, he turned to the path that led to Uncle Austin's house.

The house looked amazing, with it's silver walls, shiny windows, and big strong oak front door. Oscar went up to the door and was about to knock, but, To his surprise, he saw that the front door was open, so Oscar went cautiously in, shutting the door behind him.

Oscar walked cautiously up into the hall. It was very big.

"Hello? Uncle Austin?" Oscar called, his voice echoing around the hall, hoping his uncle would hear him. "Are you in?"

But his Uncle Austin didn't answer.

"That's odd." Oscar thought to himself. "Maybe Uncle Austin went out for a walk. I'll just go in the living room, and wait for him."

Oscar walked into the living room, and then, his jaw hung.

There, on the sofa in said living room, he saw a black coat, with a white shirt inside it, a pair of navy blue slacks with heart-patterned boxers inside them, all lying haphazardly on the sofa. And, next to the sofa, he saw a pair of black slippers with some red argyle socks lying haphazardly on those slippers.

"This is strange." Oscar said to himself. "Why would Uncle Austin go out and leave his clothes behind?"

Something very odd was going on, so Oscar decided that the best thing to do was search the whole house.

The first place Oscar decided to look was upstairs. "Maybe he must be in the bath." Oscar guessed.

He climbed up the staircase in the house, and there, at the top, it was then he heard a croak from inside the bathroom.

Oscar stayed very quiet, and walked up to the bathroom door, and, pushing it open a tiny crack, he saw what he thought was a frog on the toilet.

Thankfully, the toilet lid was closed.

Oscar, however, noticed something surprising about the frog - it had a human face.

A human face with fair skin, neat black hair, and a thin black moustache.

Oscar remembered his uncle Austin had fair skin, neat black hair and a thin black moustache.

"That can't be Uncle Austin." he muttered to himself. "But... the human face on the frog IS familiar..."

Oscar went cautiously into the bathroom, and up to the toilet, and then, the frog gave a startled croak, and jumped off the toilet, then hopped outta the bathroom, past Oscar, and along the hall carpet, down into Uncle Austin's bedroom.

Oscar walked up to the bedroom door, but as he did, there was a flash from inside the bedroom.

When Oscar looked in the bedroom now, he saw a huge grey and brown bald eagle perched on the end of the bed.
