•The beginning•

"Life is like a book... sometimes we just got to flip a new page and start a new chapter..."
I glanced up at my mother who was beginning to cry. She always used quotes she found, in conversations but why'd I feel like this time she was right...?
"Hey..."
She looked at me with sorrow in her eyes.
"It'll be fine. I'll be fine! Just promise me you'll be fine?"
"What happens if-..."
"Nothing will happen mum... I'll be in the UK for 2 years for college and then another few for university."
"You know everything right, like your schedule?"
"Yep! Now please go home it's still early and you have work at 8am."
"Fine... have a nice plane ride sweetie! Love you!"
"Love you too mom!!"
I let out a deep sigh before hearing some familiar voices calling me towards a gate way.
I headed over to see my manager and her boyfriend standing by the private jets sections.
"Hey cas! You ready!?"
"As ready as I'll ever be!" I said enthusiastically.
I then looked to the more concerned one...
"Hey cass, how've ya been busy bee?"
"I've been better." I said glaring towards the plane with a shaky breath.
"Hey it's fine we are gonna be on there for a few hours and then we arrive luce will be waiting as her plane left a few hours ago."
"Okay thanks Erick"
"Come you two the pilot is ready!"
We both giggle at her rush, soon following her down the small pathway to the private jet waiting.

~half way through the plane ride.~

"Yo cass heads up music producer wants to talk about the lyrics you came up with!"
"Alright I'll hop onto a call with him now Sierra!"
As I shouted that I entered my private room where I opened my laptop calling my music producer.
After one ring he answered.
"Hey Cassidy! I'm sure you rang me because Sierra told you?"
"Yep! So what about the new song?"
We talked for an hour before we were about to land.

~after the plane landed~

"LUCE!"
I said running up to the familiar girl around my height of 5'1 but she was a little taller.
"CASS!"
We jumped into each others arms receiving a few concerned looks from the public around us but I hadn't seen her since she moved to Florida and I was in New York.
We stayed in the hug before a younger girl approached us.
"E-excuse me?"
I looked up to see her slightly nervous and waiting for a response.
"Oh sorry. Is there something I could do for you?"
"Uhm... Yeah can I get a picture with you and Lucy!?"
"Of course!" Me and Luce said in unison, we stood up and what we assume is her mother came and took the picture for her as me and Luce stood with her in the middle.
"T-thank you so much!"
"No problem have a great day!"
Me and Luce turned round, she hardly got noticed in public but when she did she got all nervous and hardly knew what to say.
"Hey. Chill you'll get use to it."
"I know it's just- you always seem so normal and natural."
"I live in New York what do you expect." I giggled, she following me by laughing as well.
"How'd ya do it?"
"How'd I do what?"
"Maintain a life out of social media, but act like you've known you fans for life when the meet you?"
"It just came to me. I've had people wanting to support me in everything I do, so if I want to take a small break they all understand and let me rest."
"Your the real inspiration in this world."
We both laughed to forget the seriousness we were talking.
Soon Sierra and Erick approached.
"Hey you two you ready to meet your roommates?"
"Roommates?"
"Shit." She murmured under her breath, "sorry I forgot to mention, you'll need a place to stay. And I only have a one bedroom apartment so I asked some old friends and when they mentioned their son was moving out with their friend and turned out they didn't mind if you two moved with their son."
"W-What!?"
"Oh come on it won't be that bad...?"
Lucy and I both sighed as we climbed into the mini van that we'd rented.

"All of you stuff are in the house ready to be set up. They will help if you ask."
I felt the car come to a stop when we pulled up outside a quite large house.
Me and Luce stumbled out of the car giving the two adults hugs and grabbing our suitcases and backpack and headed towards the door giving a final wave towards the two now driving off.

We gave each other a small glance before knocking on the door.
I sighed as the door slowly creaked open...
