Tabek
I was now free. Free to go wherever I wanted, and be what I wanted to be. The clouds felt soft against my skin and the sun felt warm. I spun around in the air and laughed, the wind -although cold, felt amazing on my skin. "I'm free."
I dove down into the clouds but I soon found myself dodging, as some giant animal flew past me at amazing speeds." What kind of animal is that?" I flew after it and felt on its tail, it was hard and lifeless. Maybe this wasn't an animal.
That's when it dawned on me, I've read about this in one of my books. This was an airplane! "Then that means..." I flew up to the windows and looked inside. "Humans!" I rejoiced and looked at them all. They all looked so shocked to see me. "Greetings! Hello! My name is Tabek! I'm from the garden of Mother Nature." They looked at me and began to hold up these rectangular objects. I flew a little closer to the window and tried to get a better understanding of what it was. I've also read about these before, these were cell phones, and they used them to capture light in time and memories, or in simple human wording, take pictures and communicate with each other.
Thinking that they were, getting weary of my presence and flew down from the clouds. I dashed down from the clouds and was in awe of the gigantic buildings I saw. The outside world was very different from my homeland, but it had its own beauty.
I flew down towards a mountain and looked down at the openness. The only difference with this mountain is that it didn't have little houses or a giant phoenix protecting its delicious eggs. I adjusted my satchel on my back and took off towards one of the buildings below.
"Tabek!" I scrunched up my face and looked behind me and saw Timberwood. He was probably here to take me back to the garden, but I won't allow it. To hades with all them if I let him capture me.
I flew upwards into the clouds and dashed from side to side trying to maneuver from his wits, but my backpack was holding me back a little. I wasn't concentrating on the air around it. I was terrified to go back, and Timberwood's people were the fastest in aerial maneuvers.
In a split thought, I cocooned myself in my white aura and became camouflaged, along with the cloth that protected my private areas and my backpack. This would buy me some time for a little while until I found somewhere to hide. But if I stayed in the area for too long he would notice an abnormality in the air and find me again.
I dashed into a building, with a pool bind it, and hid there for a while. I scanned the area and there were no humans near, so the building was vacant. As I thought I lost him, I suddenly saw Timberwood just outside of the building I was in and he flew down to the ground then replaced his wings with different clothes. It seemed to have completely disappeared. He resembled a normal human being..., how did he do that?" What?" I said out of shock and pure curiosity, and he looked directly at me.
I covered my mouth and was gonna fly away again but he caught me and held me in place." Tabek, stop fighting me." He said as my eyes turned a glowing yellow." I'm only here to help you!" After he said that I stopped my resistance and released my camouflage spell.
I don't know if I wanted to trust him or not, because he always gave his complete obedience to mother. I folded my arms and looked away," fine. What do you want with me? If you're here to take me back home I'll fight you with everything I have. I won't go back to that garden Timberwood."
"I'm not here to take you back or convince you, I'm here to help you. I saw when you used your powers to break free and,... I've seen it when you escaped your room. I was right there along with the shadows, if I wanted to stop you, I would've done so by now." He said and I looked into his eyes and saw nothing but the truth.
"Then-.."
"I'm not done, speaking." He said and I was taken aback. Since when did he interrupt me? I wasn't upset with him, just surprised. It's about time he stopped treating me like I'm royalty or someone above him. I've known him for too long. He's basically my father to me.
"I've been escaping to the outside world for some time now. Thirteen years in fact." He said as he pulled out a cell phone from his human clothes." I got married, and I have four kids. I created a shipping business, and it's now booming with customers worldwide. Life outside is amazing Tabek it's time you finally got the courage to leave on your own."
He showed me pictures of him and his family and I could've almost cried with the amount of joy I felt for him. But there was one thing I didn't understand amongst the many questions I had swirling around my head.
"Why did you come, back? You have this amazing life outside of the garden, children, a partner...love. Why would you come back?"
He sighed," I couldn't leave you behind Tabek. You're my first son. I gave the oath to protect you with my life, and I meant that oath. I love you like you are my very own. I've watched you grow and helped you learn how to do everything. No one knows you better than me, not even Mother, she has to come to me to learn things about you when it shouldn't be." He looked into my eyes." I am your father, you are my son. I'm proud that you had the will strong enough to escape and without any help! You've sure grown up, from the little one I flew on my back."
As he said this I couldn't help the tears that broke from my eyes. I gave him a hug and shook with strong emotions flowing through my body.
"Thank you, Timberwood."
