Happy Little Accident

Chapter 9

'Happy birthday Laura!' I give Laura an envelop. She looks at me weird. 'You said u would have a big present.' I smile at her. 'Just open it.' She opens the envelop.  'No way!' She says. I smile at her. 'U really deserve it, u always was there for me.' She gives me a hug. 'But it are 2 tickets.' I nod. 'U can take someone with u.' 'You! You're coming with me.' She says. 'Abu Dhabi, here we come!' Laura cheers.

~Abu Dhabi GP~
A man grabs our luggage and puts it on a luggage cart. 'Its really hot here.' I say and take of my hoodie. I'm wearing a Nike croptop and sport leggings, but I'm still sweating. We walk to the reception. 'Hi, we have booked 2 rooms, for a week.' Laura says. 'Hello, On which name?' The woman asks. 'Smith.' Laura says. 'Yeah I see it. Here are your keys, its room 34 en 35 on the 2nd floor.' The woman gives us the keys. 'Thanks.' We both say.
After I broke up with Lando I wasn't in the mood to talk to people, or to go somewhere. I really had trust issues. Laura was always there for me, so for her birthday I gave her f1 tickets for the Abu Dhabi grand prix, because she loves formula 1.

'O my God, look how big it is.' Laura says when we walk into her room. I sit down on the bed. 'Its so beuatiful.' I say. I walk to the window and open the curtains. We have a view over the circuit. It's really awesome. 'Come, we should go to the bar to get a few drinks.' Laura says and grabs my hand. 'No no no, wait. I look like a mess, and you also look like a mess.' I say laughing. We both change and do our hair. 'Better?' Laura asks 'Much better.' I say. We take a selfie and I put it on my Insta story.

'What can I get for you?' The bartender asks. 'Ehmm a water for me and A sprite please.' I say. 'Yeah no problem.' And he walks to the fridge. 'Here for the grand prix?' He asks when I grab my wallet. 'Yeah I gave my friend tickets for her birthday and she invited me.' He smiles at me. 'Have fun then.'
'Here u go madam.' I give Laura her Sprite. 'We definitely should go swimming today, have you seen the pool!' She says. I laugh. 'Okay then.' We drink our drinks and walk back to our room.

We walk into the pool I immediately turn aroundwhile. 'I'm not gonna swim when he is here.' And I walk away. 'Come on! It's a half year ago, you should pas on.' Laura says. Lando is in the pool with George. 'Did u know this was the same hotel as the drivers?' I ask laura. 'Nope I didn't.' I sight. 'Okay then.' I put my towel on a chair, put my hair in a bun and go in the pool. Laura stands next to me. 'This is so awkward.' I say and turn my back to Lando. I see Laura looking at him. 'What ur doing, don't look at them!' I say. 'He saw me.' Laura whispers. I sight again. 'I already knew this was a bad idea.' She interrupts me. 'He hasn't seen u.' He just waved at me. 'I can't do this Laura.' I get out of the pool, grab my towel and walk away. 'Gabi!.' I hear Laura shouting. Yeah definitely shout my name, now does Lando now I'm here.

When I want to open my door someone taps my shoulder. 'Laura go away u fucked up.' I turn around. 'Yeah I fucked up.' A guy say. I look up. Its Lando, his hair is wet, and the water drips on his face. I feel my cheeks getting red. 'hi.' I say shy. 'Can we talk?' Lando asks. 'I... I don't kn.' I get interrupted by Lando. 'Please.' He looks in my eyes. 'Okay then, but can I change first?'  He nods. 'Yeah sure.' I close the door and stress out. 'Shit shit shit.' I say softly. I grab a short and a croptop and put it on. 'I'm back.' Lando turns around and smiles at me. I feel really awkward, but also I het butterflies. Does everything get normal again. I haven't spoken to him since he was on the airport. 'So where do u want to talk about?' I ask. 'Gabi, don't do this. U now what I want to talk about.' I feel my eyes filled with tears when he comes closer. 'I really miss you Gabi, and I have should you told you earlier, but I was really scared. I really fucked up. I fell in love with you, and I couldn't live without you. I was scared to lose you and...' A tear rolls down his cheek. I want to give him a hug but I just can't. 'You definitely could have told me earlier.' I say kinda mean. 'Yeah but...' it stays quiet for a while. 'Can we start over?' Lando asks. 'I... I don't know, I need to think about it.' I say. 'Can you please think about it. I am really really sorry, just remember I'll never do this again, I still love you.' Lando shows his phone, his wallpaper is our first picture together. 'I'll think about it' I say. He nods. 'I'll text you.' He says and smiles at me, turns around and walks away. I get in my room and stress out. What did I just do. He really fucked it up but I just can't hate him, he was so sweet for me, he took care of me when I was down or something. It really looked like he was telling the truth.
I call Jeremy. 'What do I have to do?' I ask. 'You can at least give him another change, maybe he is telling the truth.' He says. 'Yeah.' The call ends. Shit no signal. I lay down on the bed. When I want to text Laura someone knocks on the door. 'Come in!' I say. Laura walks in. 'I'm so so so sorry. I didn't mean..' I interrupt her. 'Hey it's okay.' She smiles at me. 'Are u sure?' I nod.

'We should get some food.' Laura says after watching a movie. 'Yeah sure.' I grab my phone and wallet and we walk to the restaurant of hotel. 'What can I get for you?' The waitress asks. 'Ehmm I want a pizza salami please.' Laura says. 'And I want a steak please.' I say. 'Okay, will be here in 10 minutes.' Laura and I talk about school. 'Look there.' Laura points to an evenement board. 'Sign here.' It says. She grabs my hand and pulls me with her. 'It a blind date.' She says and grabs the pen. 'What are u doing?!' I say. 'Writing your name.' Laura says. I sight. 'Come on, it's been 6 months you need to pas on.' She says. 'Okay then.' We walk back to our seats.
