Tis really late when the plane lands. Laura and grab our luggage. 'Starbuck?' Laura asks. I nod. 'Definitely.' We walk to Starbucks and grab a coffee. When we're back in the car we need to drive for 2 more hours. The navigation says it will be 11.30 pm when we arrive at home. I put my luggage in the back. I grab my phone connect my airpods. I got a text of Lando.
Lando🤍: had a safe flight? Me: yeah we're omw home now, CU on wednesday. Lando🤍: call me when ur home! xx
I put my phone on the charger. Put on the cap of my hoodie and play some music. After a few minutes I fall asleep.
'Wakey wakey.' Laura says when we're home. I stare outside it's really dark and it's raining. 'I definitely didn't miss this weather.' I say laughing. Laura gives me hug. 'Thanks for this amazing weekend.' She says. 'No problem!' I run to the back of the car and grab my suitcase. I grab my key and open the door. I put my suitcase against the wall and walk to the kitchen. I grab a banana out of the fridge and sit down on the kitchen. I grab my phone and facetime Lando.
'Hi!' He says when he picks up. I smile at him. 'Hey.' 'How was ur flight?' He asks. 'Yeah great, but I'm really tired.' He stares at me and smiles. 'Maybe u should go to bed u look really tired.' 'That's an great idea.' He gives a kiss with his hands. I do the same. 'Sleep well.' He says. I smile at him. 'Thank u.' He hangs up. I grab my suitcase and walk upstairs to my room. I put on some other clothes and go to bed. It feels really weird sleeping alone. Since the blind date I slept at Lando his room. I grab my phone, quick I make a goodnight streak and send it.
I wake op because of my alarm. I grab my phone of the charger and walk downstairs. My mom and dad are having breakfast. 'Gabi! You're home.' My moms says. She stands up and gives me a hug. 'How was it?' She asks. 'Yeah great, we had a lot of fun, and the race was amazing.' I try to say excited as possible. I don't wanna tell about Lando, my dad was really angry when we broke up. I stare at the ground. 'What's wrong.' My mom asks. 'Ehmm.... mom, dad I need to tell something.' I sit down on the kitchen table. My parents sit across me. 'In Abu Dhabi... I saw Lando.' I feel my cheeks turning red. 'We Ehmm... I... We're back together.' I say fast. It stays quiet. I look at my dad. He doesn't look really happy. 'He told me he is really sorry, he really missed me. And it's the stupidest thing he's has ever done.' I feel tears filling my eyes. My dad smiles at me and puts his hand on mine. 'Its okay, but promise me u will be safe.' He looks serious at me. I nod. My dog Alex starts barking I turn to him. 'What's that?' My mom looks at my neck. 'Ehmm yeah. I.. I... ehmm... we....' my dad starts laughing. 'We've been young to.' He says. I pretend I don't understand him and take a sip of my water. 'That's definitely an hickey.' He says. I spit out my water and rise my eyebrows. 'No... not at all.'I try to deny. My parents start laughing. I feel my head getting really red. 'but a slightly different subject, today you have to sign in at a university or College.' My mom says. Shit, I didn't think about it. 'Yeah I know.' I say. 'Where u thinking about?' My dad asks. I think about the time we were in New York with school. I fell in love with the city. All those people, all those cultures. And my brother also goes there. 'Ehmm I'm thinking about NYU.' I say hesitating. my mom looks at the clock. 'Henry we need to go to work.' Both my parents stand up and go away. I grab my phone, run upstairs and facetime Lando.
'Hey! Whats wrong?' He asks when he picks up the phone. 'So ehmm... Today I need to sign in for college.' He smiles at me. 'Great! where ur going?' I stay quiet. 'Ehmm... I've been thinking, and ehmm... I... I want to go to NYU.' I stare at my feet. 'Cool! yeah great! If u want that u shoukd do it, we will make it work, you can come back here at Christmas and in summer break.' I smile at the phone, I'm happy he's okay with it. 'I'm happy you are okay with it.' I say. He smiles at me. 'Yeah ofcourse u should do what u want!' I run to my desk and grab my laptop. On google I serach for NYU.
I look at my phone, Lando smiles at me. 'Come on! just push enter.' I feel my hands getting sweaty. I filled in everything, I only have to push enter and I signed in. I push enter. An whole wave goes trough my body. I take a deep breath close and close my eyes for a few seconds. 'So when will u get to know when ur in?' Lando asks. 'Ehmm In 12 hours!' I get really nervous. 'are u okay?' Lando asks. 'Yeah just a bit overwhelmed.' I say. Its stays quiet for a while. 'I wish I could hug you.' Lando interrupts the silence. I smile at my phone. 'I miss you already.' He says. I feel my eyes getting full with tears. I rub a tear of my cheeck. Lando smiles at me. 'Don't you have school?' He asks. I take a quick look at my clock. 'Shit! I have to go in 6 minutes.' I quickly grab some clothes out of my closet, put on some mascara and lipgloss, brush my hair and run downstairs. 'I need to go.' I say with a sad face. 'Its okay, I'll call u tonight!' Lando gives an air kiss. I do the same. 'Speak you.' Lando ends the call. I grab my books, a bottle of water and an apple and put those in my bag. I hear a car honking outside, Its Laura. I get in the car.

I smile at my phone. 'Where did u sign in?' Laura asks. 'Ehm.. I ehmm.... I signed in at NYU.' I say quick. she looks at me. 'Ur serious?!' I kinda get scared, I nod. 'I also signed in at NYU!' she shouts. I raise my eyebrows. 'No way!' we both get really happy. 'I hope we both get in!' I say.
