"Chieko, Slow down. Not you too, Suzu. Geez, you two are hyper today, huh?" Izuku asked, holding on tight to the two leashes. Chieko and Suzu were really pulling him through the causal walk, they just seemed really happy today.
It must be because the holidays were coming around the corner. The weather was cool, the streetlights were wrapped in soft lights, and there was a whole lot of Christmas spirit in the air.
Heck, Izuku had just finished decorated the cafe with his parents for the incoming weeks for Christmas. When he finished up the decorating, he offered to take the two out for a late afternoon walk. The sun hasn't gone done yet, and the weather outside wasn't quite frightful so it was a delightful time for a walk.
Chieko took the lead while Suzu followed behind her while Izuku just held on to their leashes. He let them walk where they wanted to as long as it wasn't too far away from the cafe.
Out of nowhere, Chieko stopped at the beginning of an alleyway, turning her head to sniff. Suzu barked at the alley.
"What is it?" Izuku asked his friends, only to receive a bark in response. But the bark wasn't coming from either of his friends, it came from down the alley. Chieko immediately traveled down the alleyway with Izuku right behind her. Suzu kept barking, trying to locate where the other bark was from.
Izuku's eyes widened when he saw a little cardboard box that had the little flaps being pushed open by a snout. Once he heard the small whimper, Izuku headed straight over with Chieko and Suzu right behind his legs. When he reached the box, he opened the lid to find a small Daschund puppy huddled against an Akita Inu puppy.
Izuku tilted his head and thought, 'Were both of these puppies abandoned?' And then he noticed that the Daschund looking puppy had a little tail growing out of his head, making him look like a dog unicorn. The Akita Inu puppy was slightly older by what looked like a few months. The puppies both whimpered and barked when he opened up the lid, he noticed how they shivered in the cold wind.
"Hi, you two look cold." Izuku greeted awkwardly, crouching down to not seem threatening to the young pups. "I'm Izuku."
Chieko and Suzu weakly barked, shoving their faces to see inside the box. The Akita Inu puppy barked at Chieko before bumping his snout against hers. Chieko sneezed before rubbing her face against the young puppy's head, licking his ear.
"Aww, it's nice to see everyone getting along." Izuku mumbled before smiling, "Why don't we get you someplace warmer? It must not be fun freezing in this weather, huh?"
The Narwhal puppy barked at him in agreement as Izuku chuckled. He went ahead and took off his jacket to place over the two cold puppies. Chieko and Suzu waited as Izuku took the cardboard box into his hands.
"Okay, let's go home." Izuku said, taking their leashes again before walking gently with the two new puppies in his arms.

"Oh, hi! Back from the walk so soon?" Hisashi greeted his son as he walked in only to focus on the box in his arms, "What's in the box?"
Izuku lifted his jacket from over the puppies to show his dad. "Some puppies who needed warmth."
"Might as well say, 'hey, I found some new family members!'" Hisashi mumbled with a chuckle as Izuku walked upstairs to find the puppies some heat. Suzu came up to him and licked his hand. "Hey girl, excited about two new siblings? Because I can bet that that is what is going to happen."
Suzu barked.
"You think so too? Great." Hisashi responded back absentmindedly before getting back to reorganizing some small things at the counter.
