*y/n's pov*

we stepped out of the airport, the hot air filling my lungs, making it hard to breathe for a second. the bright sun shined in my eyes, so much so i had to pull my sunglasses out of my purse and put them on. even though we just got off of possibly the worst flight of my entire life, we rushed to another airplane. yet this one was smaller, and was reserved just for us. our bags were loaded onto the plane and we were introduced to our pilot, who i assumed the Irwin's knew because of their friendly greeting. we boarded the plane and got to our seats, then we were given head sets so we could hear each other. sitting down next to me, Robert looked deep in thought, and had barley spoken to me since we landed.

"hey, you okay?" i asked.

"oh, yeah, sorry." he glanced at me.

"whatcha thinking about." I grinned, nudging him with my elbow.

"um, just the trip I guess." he shifted in his seat, he looked uncomfortable.

I scrunched my brows together in confusion,

what was he thinking about?

I surveyed my memory, trying to find anything that might explain this. unfortunately the only thing that came to mind was that he knew. my head spun trying to come up with another conclusion, but nothing came to mind. I turned and looked out the window, wanting to hide the distress that was clearly showing on my face.

the sooner I tell him the better.

those words swarmed my thoughts. I had to tell him, but how?

I reluctantly looked over my shoulder, James sat behind me reading his book. he noticed my gaze, meeting my eyes he mouthed the words "tell him." I whipped my head away and looked straight forward. my jaw clenched as I took deep breaths. I inhaled, holding my breath I realized this trip could mean the end of me and Roberts relationship. in that moment everything seemed to become more serious. I chewed on the inside of my cheek, forcing myself to keep calm. I looked across the plane to Chandler and Bindi.

they made it, so can we.

I tried to reassure myself, but then again, Bindi didn't have a huge secret she kept from Chandler for a year.

the rest of the flight was spent in awkward silence, but when we finally landed the whole group was buzzing with excitement. Robert grabbed my hand,

"i'll show you around." he smiled.

we walked down a dirt pathway for a little bit before we actually saw buildings. the reserve was almost like a little town.

"this is where the Brandies live, they watch over the reserve while we're not here." he pointed to a house that looked larger then all the others.

it was cute, compared to the others it was pretty modern. it was like a fancy log-cabin, which you would think wouldn't fit in in the middle of Africa, but it did.

"you can see a little farther down are the lodges, that's where we, or any other guests stay. i'll show you yours."

i followed him down the road a little longer till we arrived at the little neighborhood of cabins. unlike the Brandies house, they were set back a little further from the road. the houses were lined up in two rows, 6 houses on each side of the wide pathway. at the end of the rows there was a bigger building.

"what's that?" i asked.

"oh, that's what we call the "dining hall." while the lodges do have a bathroom and a bedroom, they don't have a kitchen, so we all usually meet up there to eat our meals. although sometimes the Brandies invite us over for dinner or breakfast." he paused to explain.
